Claims (8)
- 車両前後方向に延びる光軸上に配置された投影レンズと、前記投影レンズの後側焦点面よりも後方側に配置された光源ユニットと、を備えた走行ビームとすれ違いビームの配光パターンを同一の投影レンズで形成するプロジェクタ型前照灯であって、
前記投影レンズは、前記光軸上に配置された二枚の樹脂レンズで構成されており、
前記光源ユニットは前記二枚の樹脂レンズを介して前方に照射されて明暗境界線を含む配光パターンを形成するための光源像を、前記投影レンズの後側焦点面又はその近傍に形成するように構成されており、
前記二枚の樹脂レンズのうち前記光源ユニット寄りに配置された光源側樹脂レンズの反光源側のレンズ面の少なくとも一部には回折格子が設けられており、
前記光源側樹脂レンズの光源側のレンズ面は、正のパワーを持ち、
前記回折格子は、前記二枚の樹脂レンズを介して前方へ照射される前記光源ユニットからの光の色収差を打ち消すように設計されており、
前記光軸と前記光軸に垂直な面との交点を原点として、該面上に水平方向のx軸及び鉛直方向のy軸を定め、前記光源側樹脂レンズの反光源側の面におけるy座標の最大値をR1とし、Aを0以上で1より小さい定数として、前記光源側樹脂レンズの反光源側のレンズ面のy<A・R1の領域は、少なくとも一部に回折格子を設けた、連続性を有する曲面または平面で構成され、y≧A・R1の領域は、該連続性を有する曲面または該平面のパワーよりも大きなパワーを有し、回折格子を備えていない別の曲面で構成されたプロジェクタ型前照灯。 - A<0.5である請求項1に記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。
- 前記二枚の樹脂レンズの合成焦点距離をEFL、前記二枚の樹脂レンズのレンズ間隔をT12として、
T12/EFL<0.1
を満たす請求項1または2に記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。 - 前記光源側レンズの中心厚をT2として、
0.16<T2/EFL
を満たす請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。 - 該別の曲面のパワーが、前記回折格子を設けた、該連続性を有する曲面または該平面のパワーと同等である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。
- 該別の曲面が非球面である請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。
- 前記配光パターンは、水平方向に1列またはマトリックス上に配置される複数の配光パターンを含む請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。
- 前記回折格子は、前記光源側樹脂レンズの反光源側のレンズ面のy<A・R1の領域において、外周寄りの環状領域に設けられており、該環状領域よりも内側の領域には設けられていない請求項1から7のいずれかに記載のプロジェクタ型前照灯。
