Description
図1は、本発明の玉軸受の実施の一形態を示す断面図である。この玉軸受1は、内輪2と、この内輪2の径方向外側に設けられている外輪3と、これら内輪2と外輪3との間に介在している複数の玉4と、これら玉4を保持している環状の保持器5とを備えている。この玉軸受1では、内輪2と外輪3との間に形成される環状空間に潤滑剤としてグリースが設けられている。本実施形態において、軸方向とは、玉軸受1の中心線CL(以下、軸受中心線CLという。)に平行な方向も含み、また、径方向とは、軸受中心線CLに直交する方向である。
更に、前記中立状態から保持器5が軸方向一方側に変位すると、ガイド部14が内軌道溝21に対して軸方向から接触することにより、保持器5の位置決めを行うことができる。このように、ガイド部14が内軌道溝21に接触することにより、保持器5の軸方向一方側への変位が規制される。
また、保持器5に過大な変形が生じようとすると、その変形のモードによっては、外対向面部56が玉4に対して接触可能となり、これにより、過大な変形を阻止することができる。

Claims (5)
- 外周に内軌道溝が形成されている内輪と、内周に外軌道溝が形成されている外輪と、前記内軌道溝と前記外軌道溝との間に介在する複数の玉と、前記複数の玉を保持する環状の保持器と、を備え、
前記保持器は、前記玉の軸方向一方側に位置する環状部と、当該環状部から軸方向他方側に延びて設けられている複数の柱部と、を有し、前記環状部の軸方向他方側であって周方向で隣り合う一対の前記柱部の間が前記玉を収容するためのポケットであり、
前記ポケットは、側面部と、前記側面部の周方向の一方側に続く第1の円弧面部と、前記第1の円弧面部に続く第1の平坦面部と、前記側面部の周方向の他方側に続く第2の円弧面部と、前記第2の円弧面部に続く第2の平坦面部と、を有し、
前記第1の円弧面部と前記第2の円弧面部とは、前記玉に非接触であり、
前記第1の平坦面部と第2の平坦面部とは、平行に配置され、かつ、互いに周方向に対向して設けられ、
前記側面部は、接触面部と、前記接触面部の径方向内側にある内対向面部と、を有し、
前記接触面部は、前記玉の回転中心線と前記玉の表面との交点と接触する平面矩形状の面であり、
前記内対向面部は、前記玉の表面と対向し、かつ、前記玉よりも半径が大きな球面に沿った面であり、
前記接触面部は、前記保持器が前記玉に対して軸方向他方側に変位すると前記玉と点接触する、玉軸受。 - 前記側面部は、前記接触面部の径方向外側にある外対向面部を有し、
前記外対向面部は、前記玉の表面と対向し、かつ、前記玉よりも半径が大きな球面に沿った面である、請求項1に記載の玉軸受。 - 前記保持器は、前記保持器が軸方向一方側に変位すると、前記内輪及び前記外輪のうちの一方に接触するガイド部を、更に有している、請求項1又は2に記載の玉軸受。
- 前記ポケットは、前記接触面部を中央として当該接触面部の径方向外側及び径方向内側それぞれに前記玉と対向する対向面部を有し、
前記ポケットの中心と前記玉の中心とが一致している中立状態で、径方向内側及び径方向外側それぞれの前記対向面部と前記玉との間には、前記中立状態での前記玉と前記接触面部との隙間よりも大きな隙間が形成されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の玉軸受。 - 前記ポケットの中心と前記玉の中心とが一致している中立状態で、当該ポケットと当該玉との間に形成される隙間において前記接触面部と前記玉との間隔が最も小さい、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の玉軸受。
