Claims (1)
- 自身の外周面の一部に形成されたおねじと、前記おねじよりも径方向の外側に張り出し前記おねじよりも自身の後端側に設けられるテーパ部と、を備える筒状の主体金具と、
前記主体金具の先端側の中心に絶縁保持される中心電極と、
前記主体金具に接続され前記中心電極との間に火花ギャップを形成する接地電極と、を備え、
前記テーパ部は、エンジンに形成されたプラグホールのねじ穴に前記おねじが締め付けられたときに、前記プラグホールの内面に接触する接触部を有するスパークプラグの製造方法であって、
前記主体金具を製造する金具製造工程において、
前記主体金具の前記接触部と前記おねじとの間の少なくとも一部を加工し、前記接触部と前記おねじとの間の少なくとも一部のビッカース硬度を前記接触部のビッカース硬度よりも低くすることで、前記接触部のビッカース硬度を前記接触部と前記おねじとの間の少なくとも一部のビッカース硬度よりも高くする軟化工程を備え、
前記軟化工程は、前記接触部と前記おねじとの間の少なくとも一部を焼鈍する工程を含むスパークプラグの製造方法。
