例7では、芯繊維がエラストマーを含み、および鞘繊維が熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、例1〜6の人工心臓弁弁尖である。
例9では、芯繊維または鞘繊維がカーボン充填材を含む、例1〜8の人工心臓弁弁尖である。
例11では、複合繊維が、芯繊維の周囲に渦巻状に配置された少なくとも2つの鞘繊維を含む、例1〜10の人工心臓弁弁尖である。
例13では、芯繊維が鞘繊維内に封入され、芯繊維が、鞘繊維内において、複合繊維によって画定された長手方向軸に対して波状の形状を有する、例1の人工心臓弁弁尖である。
例16では、鞘繊維厚さに対する芯繊維径の比が0.2〜5.0の範囲である、例13〜15の人工心臓弁弁尖である。
例18では、人工心臓弁材料を形成する方法が、複合繊維を形成することを含む。各複合繊維は、芯繊維の周囲に鞘繊維を渦巻状に巻き付けることによって形成される。

Claims (10)
- 複数の複合繊維を含む繊維強化構造を備える人工心臓弁弁尖であって、各複合繊維が、複数のエラストマー芯繊維と、それらを封入する共通の鞘繊維であって、前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維の周囲に配置された鞘繊維とを備え、前記複合繊維が弛緩状態にあるとき、前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維は曲線形状を有し、前記共通の鞘繊維は、エラストマー芯繊維同士が接触しないように、エラストマー芯繊維同士の間を埋めていることを特徴とする、人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記鞘繊維に対する前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維の重量比が0.2〜5.0の範囲である、請求項1に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維および前記鞘繊維が異なる高分子材料から作製されている、請求項1または2に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記鞘繊維が熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維が、前記鞘繊維の引張弾性率より大きい引張弾性率を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記複数のエラストマー芯繊維または前記鞘繊維がカーボン充填材を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記複合繊維が、ポリエチレングリコールを含むコーティングを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 各エラストマー芯繊維が、前記共通の鞘繊維内において、前記複合繊維によって画定された長手方向軸に対して波状の非直線形状を有する、請求項1に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 各エラストマー芯繊維が、前記複合繊維が弛緩状態にあるときには前記共通の鞘繊維内で波状の形状を有するが、前記複合繊維が緊張状態で引き伸ばされているときには前記共通の鞘繊維内で直線の形状を有する、請求項8に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記複合繊維がエレクトロスピニング複合繊維である、請求項8または9に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
