Description
真空度が10−5torr以下に維持されたチャンバ内に素地鉄を位置させ、PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition)法によりZnめっき層、Mgめっき層、及びZnめっき層を順に形成した。
各試験片を塩水噴霧試験機(TS−CASS)に装入し、国際規格(ASTMB117)により赤青発生時間を測定した。このとき、5%の塩水(温度35℃、pH 7)を用いており、圧縮空気の圧力は0.1MPaに設定して、1時間当たりに1.5ml/80cm2の塩水を噴霧した。試験片が位置するチャンバ内の温度は、塩水の温度と同様に、35℃と同一に設定した。試験片の角から発生する腐食を防止し、めっき層だけの耐食性を評価するために、各試験片の角は密着性テープ(Nitto tape)で密封した。赤青発生時間が300時間以上である場合を優秀、200時間以上300時間未満の場合を普通、200時間未満の場合を不良と評価し、その結果を下記表1にともに示した。一方、図2は塩水噴霧試験中の各試験片の表面を観察した写真であり、図2に示す星(★)は、露出面積の5%の赤青発生時点を示す。図2において、従来例は通常の電気亜鉛めっき鋼材(片面付着量:25g/m2)を示す。一方、図2に示されていない試験片の発明例2及び比較例4の赤青発生実験の結果は図7に示した。
各試験片を180°度で曲げ加工した後、曲げ試験(bending test)を行った。曲げ部分に密着性テープ(Nitto tape)を試験片全面に付着してから剥がしたとき、合金層に付いた部分がまったくなければ優秀、合金層に付いた部分があれば不良と評価し、その結果を下記表1にともに示した。一方、図3は曲げ試験後の各試験片の表面を観察した写真であり、図3(a)から(i)はそれぞれ、比較例1、比較例2、比較例3、発明例1、比較例5、比較例6、比較例7、比較例8、及び比較例9の表面写真である。一方、図6(a)及び(b)はそれぞれ、発明例2及び比較例4の曲げ試験後の写真を示したものである。
Claims (4)
- 素地鉄と前記素地鉄上に順に形成された第1から第3Zn−Mg合金層を含み、前記第1から第3Zn−Mg合金層は、Zn単相、Mg単相、MgZn2合金相、及びMg2Zn11合金相からなり、前記第1から第3Zn−Mg合金層に含まれるMgZn2合金相の面積率は前記第1から第3Zn−Mg合金層に含まれるMg2Zn11合金相の面積率よりも大きく、前記第1及び第3Zn−Mg合金層のそれぞれに含まれるMgZn2合金相の面積率は前記第2Zn−Mg合金層に含まれるMgZn2合金相の面積率よりも大きい、Zn−Mg合金めっき鋼材。
- 前記第1及び第3Zn−Mg合金層のそれぞれに含まれるMg2Zn11合金相の面積率が前記第2Zn−Mg合金層に含まれるMg2Zn11合金相の面積率よりも小さい、請求項1に記載のZn−Mg合金めっき鋼材。
- 前記第1から第3Zn−Mg合金層は、面積率で、45%以上80%以下のMgZn2合金相及びMg2Zn11合金相を含む、請求項1に記載のZn−Mg合金めっき鋼材。
- 前記第1及び第3Zn−Mg合金層に含有されたMgの平均含有量は8〜12重量%である、請求項1に記載のZn−Mg合金めっき鋼材。
