Description
フェロセン触媒前駆体を0.5g/hr、硫黄触媒活性剤を0.135g/hrの速度で気化して投入し、炭素化合物としてメタン115〜152.5ml/minの速度で、運搬ガス(水素)は、1.8〜2.2L/minの速度で、1200℃の温度である円筒状の反応器の上端に流入させた。そして、反応器下端の排出口に排出されるカーボンナノチューブ纎維を1.5W/cm2、40kHz条件の超音波が印加される水槽(water bath)を通過させた後、ボビン(bobbin)で構成された巻回手段で回収速度10m/min条件でカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体を回収した。超音波が印加される水槽通過時間は、4秒(実施例1)、12秒(実施例2)、60秒(実施例3)、120秒(実施例4)であった。前記工程の概略図を図1に示した。
水槽通過及び超音波印加を全部していない場合を比較例1とした。また、超音波印加なしに水槽のみ通過した場合を比較例2とした。
実施例によるカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体を構成するカーボンナノチューブの整列度を評価するために、超音波印加時間による偏光ラマン比(IG/IG⊥)を測定し、表1と図2とに示した。
破断強度実験は、Textechno社のFAVIMAT+装備を用いて測定し、ロードセル(load cell)範囲は、210cNとした。ゲージ長(Gauge length)は、2.0cmであり、2mm/minの速度で実験を進行した。
前記破断強度の測定結果を下記表2に示した。
Claims (11)
- カーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体を超音波が印加されている水槽を通過させる段階と、
前記カーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体を20m/min以下の速度で回収する段階と、
を含むカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。 - 前記超音波の周波数範囲が、1kHz〜1MHzである請求項1に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記超音波の印加時間が、0.001〜120秒である請求項1に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 超音波印加時間が増加するにつれて、カーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の偏光ラマン比が増加する請求項1に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記偏光ラマン比が、1560cm−1以上1600cm−1以下で測定したカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の長手方向とその垂直方向とのGピーク最大強度の比(IG/IG⊥)である請求項4に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記偏光ラマン比が、4.1以上10以下である請求項4に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記カーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体が、液相または気相の炭素化合物に触媒前駆体が分散されている紡糸原料からなる請求項1に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 紡糸原料からカーボンナノチューブを形成し、それを連続して融合してカーボンナノチューブ纎維を直接紡糸する段階をさらに含む請求項1に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記液相または気相の炭素化合物が、メタン、エチレン、アセチレン、メチルアセチレン、ビニルアセチレン、エタノール、メタノール、プロパノール、アセトン、キシレン、クロロホルム、酢酸エチル、ジエチルエーテル、ポリエチレングリコール、ギ酸エチル、メシチレン、テトラヒドロフラン(THF)、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)、ジクロロメタン、ヘキサン、ベンゼン、四塩化炭素、及びペンタンで構成されたグループから選択された一つ以上を含む請求項7に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記触媒前駆体が、鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、白金、ルテニウム、モリブデン、バナジウム、及びその酸化物からなるグループから選択される一つ以上を含む請求項7に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
- 前記触媒前駆体が、メタロセンの形態である請求項7に記載のカーボンナノチューブ纎維集合体の製造方法。
