Description
以下は、本発明に係る多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法について説明する。図1は、本発明の実施例に係る多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法を示すフローチャートである。
まず、図2ないし図4を参照して、本発明の一実施例に係る多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素についてより詳細に説明する。図2は、本発明の一実施例に係る多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素を示す模式図である。また、図3は、本発明の一実施例に係る多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の表面に突起形態のホウ化物が局部的に形成されている状態及びクラック移動が表示される概念に関する模式図である。参照として、図3において、矢印はクラックの移動を示すものである。
Claims (6)
- 立方晶窒化ホウ素と結合剤を含み、前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の表面に突起形態のホウ化物が形成されている多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素において、
前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の粒子サイズの平均値は、4〜8μmであり、
前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の体積は、70〜85vol%であり、
前記ホウ化物は、立方晶窒化ホウ素の粒子の表面100nm以内に、0.001〜1μmのサイズで形成されており、
前記結合剤は、
Ti、Co、Ni、Cu、WおよびZrの窒化物、炭化物、炭窒化物、酸化物、およびホウ化物を少なくとも1つ以上含む第1の結合剤と、
Al、Cr、Si、TaおよびNbの窒化物、炭化物、炭窒化物、酸化物、およびホウ化物を少なくとも1つ以上含む第2の結合剤と、
を含むことを特徴とする多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素。 - 前記多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素は、焼結中に形成されるBN、Ti、Al、W、Co、Zr、Siの間の2種以上の化合物が1種以上含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素。
- 多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法であって、
立方晶窒化ホウ素の表面の異物除去のために立方晶窒化ホウ素の表面処理を行う第1のステップと、
前記表面処理された立方晶窒化ホウ素と結合剤とを混合して混合粉末を形成する第2のステップと、
前記混合粉末を成形する第3のステップと、
前記成形ステップを経た混合粉末を焼結する第4のステップと
を含み、
当該製造方法は、さらに、
前記結合剤の表面からの異物除去のために、結合剤を表面処理するステップと、
前記表面処理された立方晶窒化ホウ素と結合剤とを混合した後、形成された混合粉末を熱処理する工程と、
を有し、
前記熱処理する工程は、前記立方晶窒化ホウ素と結合剤とを相互に混合した後、真空、窒素、アルゴン及び水素のいずれか一つの雰囲気の中で、600℃以上の温度で実施され、
前記焼結は、3.5〜6.5GPaの圧力、および1250℃〜1650℃の温度で実施される、多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法。 - 前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の表面処理は、プラズマ表面処理、熱処理、酸処理、スパッタリング、ゾルゲル法のうちの少なくとも一つの方法で実施されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法。
- 前記結合剤の表面処理は、還元熱処理工程、プラズマ表面処理、スパッタリング、メッキ、及びゾルゲル法のうちの少なくとも一つの方法で実施されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法。
- 前記立方晶窒化ホウ素及び結合剤は、ボールミル、アトライタミル、及びプラネタリーミル法のいずれか一つの方法で、相互に混合されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素の製造方法。
