Description
X-(R2-O)n-CH2-O-(R1-O)m-CH2-(O-R2)p-X (I)
(式中、R1およびR2は、同一でも異なっていてもよく、2〜10個の炭素原子、好ましくは2〜6個の炭素原子、最も好ましくは2〜4個の炭素原子を含むアルキレン鎖から選択され、Xは、ハロゲン原子であり、n、m、およびpは、同一でも異なっていてもよく、1〜6の範囲、好ましくは1〜4の範囲の値の整数である)
で表されるプレポリマーの存在下で行われる。
実施例B1:TEGに基づくプレポリマー(I)(A1)を使用したポリスルフィドの調製
断熱ガラスシーラント配合物を、一般的な実験室用バタフライミキサーを用いて調製した。全ての試験において、バッチサイズは、およそ1.5kgであった。
表1および表2に従って調製したシーラントの適用特性を、24時間後および48時間後のショアA(DIN53505:2000)挙動に関し、ならびに24時間後の引張り試験(伸び)(DIN53455:1981)に関して決定した。全てのシーラントは、可塑剤としてDPG(p)を含有しており、それぞれ20重量%のポリスルフィドB1、ポリスルフィドB2、またはポリスルフィドB3を含有していた。試験は、23℃、相対湿度(rH)50%で1日間エージング後のシーラントに対して行った。(23℃および相対湿度50%は、表4において、NLとも略記する)。
それぞれ、実施例B1、実施例B2、または比較例B3のポリスルフィドを種々の可塑剤と共に含有する、表1および表2に従って調製したシーラントの親和性について、ポリスルフィドと可塑剤とを含む硬化したシーラントマトリックスの目視検査によって評価した。マトリックス外への可塑剤の移動が観察されなかった場合、ポリスルフィドと可塑剤とは親和性とした。移動が観察された場合、ポリスルフィドと可塑剤とは非親和性とした。加えて、ガラス基材に対する、シーラントの結合性挙動または接着性挙動(表4において、接着性挙動と呼ぶ)を、DIN53504:2009に準拠して評価した。この点に関して、接着とは、化学的な接着ではなく、単なる物理的な接着を意味し、結合とは、化学的な接着を意味する。結合性挙動が要求された。
実施例B1または実施例B2のポリスルフィドを含有する、表1および表2に従って調製したシーラントの結合性挙動または接着性挙動(表5において、接着性挙動と呼ぶ)を、極性(p)表面および非極性(np)表面に関して、比較例B3のポリスルフィドを含有するシーラントと比較した。表面の極性は、水滴と接触面との間の接触角を判定することによって確定した(参照した基準はDIN EN828:2013−04である)。親水性表面または極性表面(p)は、接触角が小さく(<90°)、疎水性表面または非極性表面(np)は、接触角が大きい(>90°)。結合性挙動または接着性挙動を、DIN53504:2009に準拠して評価した。シーラントは、可塑剤DPG(p)を含有していた。シーラントを、試験する各表面に適用した。ポリマー性表面(PUR)は、適用後、試験に先立ってさらに硬化させた。結合性挙動が要求された。
本願発明には以下の態様が含まれる。
項1.
ポリスルフィドを調製するためのプロセスであって、
ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールを、(i)ポリ硫化ナトリウム、または(ii)水硫化ナトリウムと硫黄との組み合わせのいずれかと反応させる工程を含み、前記反応は、ジハロアルカンの不存在下で、かつ構造(I)で表されるプレポリマー(I)の存在下で行われる、プロセス。
X-(R2-O)n-CH2-O-(R1-O)m-CH2-(O-R2)p-X (I)
(式中、R1およびR2は、同一でも異なっていてもよく、2〜10個の炭素原子を含むアルキレン鎖から選択され、Xはハロゲン原子であり、n、m、およびpは、同一でも異なっていてもよく、1〜6の範囲の整数である)
項2.
前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールが、ビス(2−クロロアルキル)ホルマールである、項1に記載のプロセス。
項3.
前記Xが、Cl、Br、およびIから選択されるハロゲンである、項1または2に記載のプロセス。
項4.
前記Xが、Clである、項3に記載のプロセス。
項5.
前記プレポリマー(I)のR1が、−CH2CH2−である、項1から4に記載のプロセス。
項6.
前記プレポリマー(I)のR2が、−CH2−CH2−、−CH2−CH2−CH2−、または−CH2−CH2−CH2−CH2−である、項1から5に記載のプロセス。
項7.
前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールとポリ硫化ナトリウムとの、前記プレポリマー(I)の存在下での反応から生じる生成物を、還元剤で処理して液体ポリスルフィドを得る、項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
項8.
ポリ硫化ナトリウムの、前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールに対する(Na2Sxとして計算した)モル比が、0.8〜1.4の範囲である、項1から7のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
項9.
ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールと前記プレポリマー(I)とを含む混合物を、水硫化ナトリウムと硫黄との水溶液に加える、項1から6いずれかに記載のプロセス。
項10.
前記水溶液の温度が、60〜100℃の範囲である、項9に記載のプロセス。
項11.
前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールの、前記プレポリマー(I)に対する重量比が、90:10〜10:90の範囲である、項1から10のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
項12.
項1から11のいずれかに記載のプロセスによって得られる生成物。
項13.
項1から11のいずれかに記載のプロセスによって得られる生成物の、シーラント、接着剤、およびコーティング組成物のための使用。
Claims (11)
- ポリスルフィドを調製するためのプロセスであって、
ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールを、(i)ポリ硫化ナトリウム、または(ii)水硫化ナトリウムと硫黄との組み合わせのいずれかと反応させる工程を含み、前記反応は、ジハロアルカンの不存在下で、またジアルデヒドならびに対応するアセタールおよびヘミアセタールからなる群から選択される分枝剤の不存在下で、かつ構造(I)で表されるプレポリマー(I)の存在下で行われる、プロセス。
X-(R2-O)n-CH2-O-(R1-O)m-CH2-(O-R2)p-X (I)
(式中、R1およびR2は、同一でも異なっていてもよく、2〜10個の炭素原子を含むアルキレン鎖から選択され、Xはハロゲン原子であり、n、m、およびpは、同一でも異なっていてもよく、1〜6の範囲の整数である) - 前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールが、ビス(2−クロロアルキル)ホルマールである、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記Xが、Cl、Br、およびIから選択されるハロゲンである、請求項1または2に記載のプロセス。
- 前記Xが、Clである、請求項3に記載のプロセス。
- 前記プレポリマー(I)のR1が、−CH2CH2−である、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- 前記プレポリマー(I)のR2が、−CH2−CH2−、−CH2−CH2−CH2−、または−CH2−CH2−CH2−CH2−である、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- 前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールとポリ硫化ナトリウムとの、前記プレポリマー(I)の存在下での反応から生じる生成物を、還元剤で処理して液体ポリスルフィドを得る、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- ポリ硫化ナトリウムの、前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールに対する(Na2Sxとして計算した)モル比が、0.8〜1.4の範囲である、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールと前記プレポリマー(I)とを含む混合物を、水硫化ナトリウムと硫黄との水溶液に加える、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- 前記水溶液の温度が、60〜100℃の範囲である、請求項9に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ビス(2−ハロアルキル)ホルマールの、前記プレポリマー(I)に対する重量比が、90:10〜10:90の範囲である、請求項1から10のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
