- 排ガス触媒コンバータ(10)、特に内燃機関のSCR排ガス触媒コンバータであって、

浄化すべき排ガスを方向転換するために使われる方向転換モジュール(12)と、
排ガスを浄化するために排ガスが貫流する触媒体(27)を収納する、前記インターフェースモジュール(11)と前記方向転換モジュール(12)との間に設けられた少なくとも1つの排ガス浄化モジュール(13)と、

前記インターフェースモジュール(11)は、浄化すべき排ガスが貫流するとともに前記流入口(14)と連結されている半径方向外側の流路(16)と、浄化された排ガスが貫流するとともに前記流出口(15)と連結されている半径方向内側の流路(17)と、を備えており、

- 前記方向転換モジュール(12)は、底壁(25)に方向転換体(26)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス触媒コンバータ。
- 前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記流入口(14)と前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記流出口(15)とは、バイパス(28)を介して連結され可能であり、該バイパス(28)内にバイパス弁(29)が組み込まれており、該バイパス弁(29)は開いた状態では流入口(14)と流出口(15)とを接続し、閉じた状態では流入口(14)と流出口(15)とを接続解除することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス触媒コンバータ。
- 前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記流入口(14)内に弁(31)が組み込まれており、該弁(31)は閉じた状態でバイパス(28)が開いていれば前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記流入口(14)を前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記半径方向外側の流路(16)から接続解除することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の排ガス触媒コンバータ。
- 前記インターフェースモジュール(11)はさらに、アンモニアあるいはアンモニア前駆体物質のための調量装置(33)を備え、該調量装置(33)を介してアンモニアあるいはアンモニア前駆体物質を、浄化すべき排ガスに導入できることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の排ガス触媒コンバータ。
- 前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記調量装置(33)を介して、アンモニアあるいはアンモニア前駆体物質を、前記インターフェースモジュール(11)の前記半径方向外側の流路(16)に導入できることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の排ガス触媒コンバータ。
