回転しながら静電潜像の形成およびトナーによる現像を受けてトナー像を保持する像保持体を備え、該像保持体上にトナー像を形成するトナー像形成部、
前記像保持体上に保持されたトナー像を、該像保持体との間に挟んだ用紙上に、転写バイアスの印加を受けて転写する転写体と、前記転写バイアスの電圧と電流とで定まる、前記転写体と前記像保持体との間の抵抗値を測定する抵抗値測定部と、環境の温湿度を測定する環境測定部と、前記転写体が、前記像保持体に、前記抵抗値測定部で測定された抵抗値が予め定められた閾値となる第1の接触圧よりも前記環境測定部で測定された温湿度に応じた差分接触圧だけ高い第2の接触圧で接触するように、該像保持体への該転写体の接触圧を調整する接触圧調整部とを備えた転写部、
トナー像の転写を受けた用紙上のトナー像を該用紙上に定着する定着部、および
前記像保持体と前記転写体とに挟まれた転写位置と前記定着部におけるトナー像を用紙上に定着する定着位置とを経由する用紙搬送経路を辿るように、用紙を搬送する用紙搬送部を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置である。
請求項2は、
前記接触圧調整部が、第1の接触圧よりも前記環境測定部で測定された温湿度に応じた差分接触圧に、さらにトナー像の転写を受ける用紙の種類に応じた差分接触圧を加算した合計の差分接触圧だけ高い第2の接触圧で接触するように、該像保持体への該転写体の接触圧を調整することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置である。

Claims (2)
- 回転しながら静電潜像の形成およびトナーによる現像を受けてトナー像を保持する像保持体を備え、該像保持体上にトナー像を形成するトナー像形成部、
前記像保持体上に保持されたトナー像を、該像保持体との間に挟んだ用紙上に、転写バイアスの印加を受けて転写する転写体と、前記転写バイアスの電圧と電流とで定まる、前記転写体と前記像保持体との間の抵抗値を測定する抵抗値測定部と、環境の温湿度を測定する環境測定部と、前記転写体が、前記像保持体に、前記抵抗値測定部で測定された抵抗値が予め定められた閾値となる第1の接触圧よりも前記環境測定部で測定された温湿度に応じた差分接触圧だけ高い第2の接触圧で接触するように、該像保持体への該転写体の接触圧を調整する接触圧調整部とを備えた転写部、
トナー像の転写を受けた用紙上のトナー像を該用紙上に定着する定着部、および
前記像保持体と前記転写体とに挟まれた転写位置と前記定着部におけるトナー像を用紙上に定着する定着位置とを経由する用紙搬送経路を辿るように、用紙を搬送する用紙搬送部を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記接触圧調整部が、第1の接触圧よりも前記環境測定部で測定された温湿度に応じた差分接触圧に、さらにトナー像の転写を受ける用紙の種類に応じた差分接触圧を加算した合計の差分接触圧だけ高い第2の接触圧で接触するように、該像保持体への該転写体の接触圧を調整することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
