Description
前記アンカー層形成用塗布液が、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を60重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含み、
前記アンカー層が、前記粘着剤層と前記光学部材の間に介在していることを特徴とする粘着剤層付光学部材に関する。
光学部材上に、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を60重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含むアンカー層形成用塗布液を塗布、乾燥して、アンカー層を形成する工程、
形成されたアンカー層上に、水分散型粘着剤組成物から形成される粘着剤層を積層する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする、前記粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法に関する。
本発明の粘着剤層付光学部材は、水分散型粘着剤組成物から形成される粘着剤層、アンカー層形成用塗布液から形成されるアンカー層、及び、光学部材を含み、
前記アンカー層形成用塗布液が、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を60重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含み、
前記アンカー層が、前記粘着剤層と前記光学部材の間に介在していることを特徴とするものである。
本発明で用いられるアンカー層は、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を60重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含むアンカー層形成用塗布液から形成されるものである。
前記粘着剤層は、水分散型粘着剤組成物から形成されるものである。水分散型粘着剤組成物は、少なくともベースポリマーが水中に分散含有されている水分散液である。当該水分散液としては、通常は、界面活性剤の存在下にベースポリマーが分散しているものが用いられるが、ベースポリマーが水中に分散含有されているものであれば、自己分散性ベースポリマーの自己分散によって、水分散液になっているものを用いることができる。
本発明の粘着剤層付光学部材に用いる光学部材としては、光学フィルムであることが好ましい。また、光学フィルムの表面に、コロナ処理、プラズマ処理などの各種易接着処理を施した後に、アンカー層、次いで、粘着剤層を形成することができる。また、粘着剤層の表面に易接着処理をおこなってもよい。
本発明は、光学部材の少なくとも片面にアンカー層を介して粘着剤層が積層されている粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法であって、
光学部材上に、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を60重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含むアンカー層形成用塗布液を塗布、乾燥して、アンカー層を形成する工程、
形成されたアンカー層上に、水分散型粘着剤組成物から形成される粘着剤層を積層する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする、本発明の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法に関する。
(A)易接着処理のための放電により、光学部材表面に高エネルギーの電子やイオンが衝突して、光学部材表面にラジカルやイオンが生成する。
(B)これらに周囲のN2、O2、H2などが反応してカルボキシル基、ヒドロキシル基、シアノ基などの極性反応基が導入されるが、同時にシュウ酸が生成する。発生したシュウ酸がアンカー層形成用塗布液に混入すると、液のpH値が低下し、アンカー層形成用塗布液中の異物発生量が増大する点は前述のとおりである。
本発明の粘着剤層付光学部材は、液晶表示装置等の各種画像表示装置の形成などに好ましく用いることができる。液晶表示装置の形成は、従来に準じて行いうる。すなわち、液晶表示装置は一般に、液晶セル等と粘着剤層付光学部材、及び必要に応じての照明システム等の構成部品を適宜に組み立てて駆動回路を組み込むことなどにより形成されるが、本発明においては、本発明による粘着剤層付光学部材を用いる点を除いて特に限定は無く、従来に準じうる。液晶セルについても、例えばTN型やSTN型、π型、VA型、IPS型などの任意なタイプのものを用いうる。
ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)フィルム(平均重合度:2400、けん化度:99.9モル%、厚み:75μm)を、30℃の温水中に60秒間浸漬し膨潤させた。次いで、ヨウ素/ヨウ化カリウム(重量比=0.5/8)の濃度0.3%の水溶液に浸漬し、3.5倍まで延伸させながらフィルムを染色した。その後、65℃のホウ酸エステル水溶液中で、トータル延伸倍率が6倍となるように延伸を行って、偏光子を作製した。この偏光子の両側に、PVA系接着剤を用いて、透明保護フィルムとしてトリアセチルセルロースフィルム(TAC)を接着して偏光フィルムを得た。
ガラス製のビーカーに原料として、アクリル酸ブチル(BA)13部、メタクリル酸メチル(MMA)80部、メタクリル酸シクロヘキシル(CHMA)5部、アクリル酸(AA)2部、3−メタクリロイルオキシプロピルートリエトキシシラン(商品名:KBM−503、信越化学工業(株)製)0.04部、乳化剤(商品名:アクアロンHS−1025、第一工業製薬(株)製)44部、及び、水415部を加えて、ホモミキサー(特殊機化工業(株)製)を用い、5分間、6000rpmで撹拌し、モノマーエマルション(1)を調製した。
ガラス製のビーカーに原料として、アクリル酸ブチル(BA)86.7部、メタクリル酸シクロヘキシル(CHMA)5部、リン酸基含有モノマー(商品名:Sipomer PAM200、モノ[ポリ(プロピレンオキシド)メタクリレート]リン酸エステル、Rhodia製)2.5部、アクリル酸(AA)5.8部、3−メタクリロイルオキシプロピル−トリエトキシシラン(商品名:KBM−503、信越化学工業(株)製)0.04部、乳化剤(商品名:アクアロンHS−1025、第一工業製薬(株)製)4部、及び、水108部を加えてホモミキサーを用い、5分間、6000rpmで撹拌し、モノマーエマルション(2)を調製した。
次に、冷却管、窒素導入管、温度計、滴下ロート及び撹拌羽根を備えた反応容器に、上記で調製したモノマーエマルション(1)のうちの55.9部を仕込み、次いで反応容器を十分窒素置換した後、内浴温度を65℃に調整し、アンモニウムペルオキソ硫酸ナトリウム(APS)水溶液(5%)0.1部を添加した後、撹拌速度150rpmで撹拌しながら一括重合を開始した。重合は内浴温度を65℃に保ちながら1時間重合した。一括重合後、APS水溶液0.5部を添加した後、内浴温度を65℃に保ちながら10分間混合した。その後、内浴温度を65℃に保ちながらモノマーエマルション(2)のうちの84.8部を3時間かけて滴下しながら滴下重合を開始した。滴下重合後、内浴温度を65℃に保ちながら3時間重合を行った。重合混合物を重合して得られるポリマーを含有する水分散液を室温まで冷却し、10%アンモニア水を添加してpH7.8に調整し、固形分濃度36%の水分散型粘着剤組成物を得た。前記モノマーエマルション(1)から得られるポリマーTgは73.4℃であり、前記モノマーエマルション(2)から得られるポリマーTgは−34.6℃であった。Tgの数値は、本明細書中に記載の方法により計算した値であり、Tgの算出に用いられる、各モノマーのホモポリマーのTg(K)は、以下の通りである。

固形分で、チオフェン系ポリマーを10〜50重量%含む溶液(商品名:デナトロンP−580W、ナガセケムテックス(株)製)8.6部、オキサゾリン基含有アクリルポリマーを含む溶液(商品名:エポクロスWS−700、(株)日本触媒製)1部、及び、水90.4部を混合し、固形分濃度が0.5重量%のアンカー層形成用塗布液を調製した。得られたアンカー層形成用塗布液は、ポリチオフェン系ポリマーを0.04重量%、オキサゾリン基含有アクリルポリマーを0.25重量%含有していた。また、得られたアンカー層形成用塗布液に含まれるアルコール量は、0重量%であった。調製後の塗布液をマイヤーバー#5を用いて、前記偏光フィルムに塗布し、40℃で120秒乾燥させ、厚み50nmのアンカー層を形成し、アンカー層付き偏光フィルムを得た。得られたアンカー層には、チオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有アクリルポリマーが、それぞれ、8重量%、50重量%含まれていた。
<アンカー層の厚み測定>
アンカー層付き偏光フィルムを、2%ルテニウム酸水溶液により、2分間染色した後、これをエポキシ樹脂中に埋めこみ、超ミクロトーム(Ultracut S、ライカ社製)により、厚み約80nmに切削し、次いで、この偏光フィルム切片の断面をTEM(Hitachi H−7650 加速電圧100kV)で観察することにより、乾燥後のアンカー層の乾燥厚み(nm)を求めた。
前記水分散型粘着剤組成物をシリコーン系剥離剤で処理されたPETフィルム基材(商品名:MRF−38、三菱化学ポリエステル(株)製)の表面にダイ方式で塗工し、乾燥温度120℃の空気循環式恒温オーブンで2分間乾燥し、基材の表面に厚さ25μmの粘着剤層を形成した。次いで、前記アンカー層付き偏光フィルムに、粘着剤層を形成したPET基材を移着させ、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
実施例1の(アンカー層の作製)において、「エポクロスWS−700」を「エポクロスWS−500」に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
実施例1の(アンカー層の作製)において、「エポクロスWS−700」を「エポクロスWS−300」に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
実施例1の(アンカー層の作製)において、「エポクロスWS−700」を添加しない以外は実施例1と同様にして、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
実施例1の(アンカー層の作製)において、「デナトロンP−580W」を添加しない以外は実施例1と同様にして、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
実施例1の(アンカー層の作製)において、使用する溶媒を、水から、水50重量%とイソプロピルアルコール50重量%を含む混合溶媒(比較例3)、水40重量%とイソプロピルアルコール60重量%を含む混合溶媒(比較例4)、水30重量%とイソプロピルアルコール70重量%を含む混合溶媒(比較例5)、水20重量%とイソプロピルアルコール80重量%を含む混合溶媒(比較例6)に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを作製した。
各実施例及び比較例で作製した粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを50mm×50mmに裁断後、PETフィルムを剥離し、ITO蒸着層を有しないIPSパネル表面に貼付した。なお、反対面となるITO蒸着面には、別途用意した粘着剤層付光学フィルムをクロスニコル状態に貼付し、透過光が遮断される状態とした。このように粘着剤層付光学フィルムを貼付したIPSパネルをバックライト上に静置し、実施例及び比較例で作製したアンカー層を含む粘着剤層付偏光フィルムの表面へ静電気試験器((株)ノイズ研究所製のESS−B3011(静電気試験器)及びGT−30R(放電ガン))で10kVの静電気を接触放電させた。その際、黒表示状態のIPSパネルが一瞬白黒反転し、再び黒表示に戻るまでの時間(秒)を計測し、電気特性とした。白黒反転時間が短いほど電気特性に優れる状態である。なお、上記一連の作業は23℃、55%RH雰囲気下で行った。
アンカー層を積層する前の偏光フィルムの透過率と、各実施例及び各比較例で得られたアンカー層付き偏光フィルムの透過率をそれぞれ測定し、(偏光フィルムの透過率)−(アンカー層付き偏光フィルムの透過率)を計算した。なお、透過率の測定は、偏光フィルム、アンカー層付き偏光フィルムの幅方向中央部から50mm×25mmの大きさで、偏光フィルムの吸収軸が長辺に対して45°となるようにサンプルを切り出し、積分球式透過率測定機((株)村上色彩研究所製:DOT−3C)を用いて、単体透過率(%)を測定した。
各実施例及び比較例で作製した粘着剤層付偏光フィルムのPETフィルムを剥離し、その剥離面にITOフィルム(125テトライトOES、尾池工業(株)製)を貼付させた。幅25mmに切断し、引張試験機で180度方向に300mm/分の速度で粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを剥離し、その際の剥離力(N/25mm)を投錨力とした。
各実施例及び各比較例で得られがアンカー層付き偏光フィルムの塗布外観を目視で検査した。評価基準は次の通りである。
○:ハジキや塗工ムラ、異物の発生もなく良好な塗工外観である。
△:ハジキや塗工ムラが見られるが、視認性に影響を与えない塗工外観である。
×:大きなハジキや塗工ムラ、異物の発生などがあり、実用上問題がある。
各実施例および比較例で得られた粘着剤層付偏光フィルムを15インチサイズに切断し、PETフィルムを剥離し、これを厚さ0.7mmの無アルカリガラス(EAGLE XG)に貼着し、50℃、0.5MPaのオートクレーブ中に15分間放置した。その後、80℃、および60℃、90%RH環境下に500時間処理した後、室温条件(23℃、55%RH)に取出した直後に処理された粘着型光学フィルムと無アルカリガラスの間の欠陥の度合いを目視で確認し、下記基準で評価した。
○:ハガレ、気泡状の欠陥などなし
△:粘着型光学フィルムの端から1.0mm以内の箇所までハガレなどの欠陥が生じている。
×:粘着型光学フィルムの端から1.0mmを超える箇所までハガレなどの欠陥が生じている。
P−580W:デナトロンP−580W、チオフェン系ポリマーを10〜50重量%含む溶液、ナガセケムテックス(株)製

Claims (6)
- 光学部材の少なくとも片面にアンカー層を介して粘着剤層が積層されている粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法であって、
光学部材上に、ポリチオフェン系ポリマー、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマー、及び、水を95重量%以上含有する水系溶媒を含むアンカー層形成用塗布液を塗布、乾燥して、アンカー層を形成する工程、
形成されたアンカー層上に、水分散型粘着剤組成物から形成される粘着剤層を積層する工程、
を含み、
前記アンカー層は、ポリチオフェン系ポリマーを5〜30重量%、及びオキサゾリン基含有ポリマーを20〜70重量%含有し、
前記粘着剤層が、ガラス転移温度が−55℃以上0℃未満の(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(A)、及び、ガラス転移温度が0℃以上の(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(B)を含有する(但し、前記(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(A)および(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(B)の合計100重量部に対して、粘土鉱物が0.5〜10重量部となるように含有する場合を除く)、
ことを特徴とする粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。 - アンカー層積層前の光学部材の透過率Aと、アンカー層を積層した光学部材の透過率Bの差(A−B)が、1.0%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。
- 前記(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(A)、(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(B)のいずれもが、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル、及び、カルボキシル基含有モノマーを含むモノマー成分を乳化重合することにより得られた共重合体であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。
- 前記水分散型粘着剤組成物が、同一エマルション粒子内に、前記(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(B)がコア層、前記(メタ)アクリル系共重合体(A)がシェル層として存在するコアシェル構造のエマルション粒子を含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。
- 前記光学部材が、偏光フィルムであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。
- 前記アンカー層形成用塗布液が、ポリチオフェン系ポリマーを0.005〜5重量%、及び、オキサゾリン基含有ポリマーを0.005〜5重量%含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の粘着剤層付光学部材の製造方法。
