Claims (15)
- 流体流れ経路の一部分となるように連結可能なノイズ減衰ユニットであって、
内部空洞部を画定するとともに第1のポートおよび第2のポートを有するハウジングであって、前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートが流体流れ経路にそれぞれ連結可能であると共に前記内部空洞部を通して互いに流体連通する、ハウジングと、
多孔質材料を含むノイズ減衰部材であって、前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞部内において前記第1のポートと前記第2のポートとの間の前記流体連通の流れの中に配置されたノイズ減衰部材と、を備え、
前記第1のポートと前記第2のポートとの間の前記流体連通は、前記ノイズ減衰部材の内部表面から外部表面への流体流れ、および、前記ノイズ減衰部材の前記外部表面と前記内部空洞部の内壁との間の流体流れ経路を通る流体流れを含み、
前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートが、前記ハウジングの異なる表面を通って前記内部空洞部に連結され、
前記内部空洞部が、前記内部空洞部の内底部から前記内部空洞部内へと上向きに延びる複数の離間された支持部材を含み、前記複数の支持部材が、全体として、前記ノイズ減衰部材が配置される第1の座部を画定すると共に、前記ノイズ減衰部材と前記内部空洞部の前記内底部との間の流体流れのための複数の経路を画定するようになっている、ノイズ減衰ユニット。 - 前記ノイズ減衰部材が、前記第1のポートまたは前記第2のポートの少なくとも1つとの流体連通のために配列された貫通する1つまたは複数の穴を含む、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材が、前記第1のポートまたは前記第2のポートの少なくとも1つとの流体連通のために配列された貫通する1つまたは複数の穴を含み、前記ノイズ減衰部材内の前記1つまたは複数の穴が、前記多孔質材料の孔よりも大きい、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記内部空洞部が、複数の位置決め部材を含み、前記複数の位置決め部材のそれぞれが、前記複数の支持部材のそれぞれより長く、かつ、前記ノイズ減衰部材に対して並列されるように配置された、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材が、前記内部空洞部の前記内壁から離間された位置において前記内部空洞部内に配置されることによって、前記ノイズ減衰部材と前記内壁との間に流体流れ経路を画定し、前記流体流れ経路が、前記ノイズ減衰部材の下の複数の経路と流体連通する、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材が、貫通する少なくとも1つの穴を含み、前記ノイズ減衰部材の下の前記少なくとも1つの穴の1つの下で略センタリングされた前記内底部が、横断面として見たときに概してホーントーラスの半分の内周面のような形状となっている、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの1つまたは複数がエルボを含む、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記エルボを含む前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの一方を有する第1の部分と、前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの他方を有する第2の部分と、を含み、前記ハウジングの前記第1の部分は、前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの前記他方に対して360度半径内の任意の角度に前記エルボを配向して前記第2の部分に対してシール取り付けするように配置可能である、請求項7に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの一方が前記ハウジングの上部または底部から前記内部空洞部に入り、他方が前記ハウジングの側部から入る、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記側部から前記ハウジングに入る前記第1のポートおよび前記第2のポートの一方が、前記ハウジングの中心から偏心している、請求項9に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材が、開いた第1の端部および閉じられた第2の端部を有する空洞部をそこに有し、前記空洞部が、前記多孔質材料の孔より大きい、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記空洞部が略円錐形である、請求項11に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材は、積層された複数のプラグによって画定され、前記複数のプラグのうちの1つのプラグが窪みを有し、他のプラグが貫通穴を有し、前記複数のプラグが集まって前記空洞部を画定する、請求項11に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 前記ノイズ減衰部材が前記多孔質材料の複数の積層されたプラグを備える、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニット。
- 内燃機関内の流体流れシステムであって、請求項1に記載のノイズ減衰ユニットを備える、流体流れシステム。
