Description
本願は、2012年11月19日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/727,997号、2012年11月19日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/728,006号、及び2013年2月4日に出願された代理人整理番号LLI-040の”Interface Devices, Systems and Methods for Multimodal Probes”という標題の特許出願について優先権の利益を主張するものであり、これら各文献の全体の開示は、参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる。
図3Aには、動脈又は他の血管等のサンプルに対して画像データを収集するのに適した例示的なプローブチップ又はキャップ40が示されている。このプローブチップを、本明細書で説明する高速取得値及び速度を用いて、プローブの構成要素として回転させ且つ引き戻すことができる。プローブチップ40は、シース(図示せず)内に配置されており、一実施形態では、プローブ本体に取り付けられている。例えば、図1に示されるように、プローブチップ33は、シース31内に配置されており、プローブ本体28に接続されている。図3Aでは、光ファイバセクション43は、プローブ本体の一部である。

前記裏当て材の領域の上に配置され、且つ前記光学データ収集サブシステムの遠位端に対してさらに遠位に配置された音響データ収集サブシステムと、を含み、
前記プローブチップ及び前記プローブ本体は、前記シース内に配置され、前記プローブ本体は、前記光学データ収集サブシステムと光通信する光ファイバを含む、
画像データ収集システム。 - 前記光学データ収集サブシステムはビーム導光器を含み、前記音響データ収集サブシステムは超音波トランスデューサを含む、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 超音波トランスデューサは前記裏当て材上に配置され、前記超音波トランスデューサは、前記光ファイバの長手方向軸線に垂直な方向から約5°〜約15°の範囲の角度で配置された音響波の誘導面を有する、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- ボアを規定するトルクワイヤをさらに備えており、複数の導体が前記光ファイバの周りに所定のパターンで巻き付けられており、前記導体は前記音響データ収集サブシステムと電気通信しており、前記光ファイバに巻き付けられた前記導体は、前記ボア内に配置される、請求項3に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記パターンは、約0.5センチメートル(cm)〜約1.5cmの範囲の螺旋状ピッチを有する螺旋状パターンである、請求項4に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- ビーム導光器は、前記光ファイバの長手方向軸線に垂直な方向から約0°〜約1°の範囲の角度でビームを方向付けるように角度決めされる、請求項3に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 患者インターフェイスユニット(PIU)と、前記PIUと電気通信する画像データ収集システムとをさらに備え、前記PIUは、前記データ収集プローブを前記画像データ収集システムに電気的に結合するように構成される、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記画像データ収集システムは、約6メガヘルツ(MHz)〜約12MHzの範囲の取得速度で前記音響データ収集サブシステム及び前記光学データ収集サブシステムからデータを取得する、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記PIUは、約18ミリメートル(mm)/秒〜約50mm/秒の範囲の引き戻し速度で前記プローブチップを後退させるように構成されたモータを有する、請求項7に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記プローブチップは、第1セクションと第2セクションとを含み、第2セクションは、それぞれのセクションの間の境界で第1セクションに関連して外側にフレアしており、前記チャネルの一部は、第1セクションに及んでいる、請求項7に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記プローブチップは、湾曲した境界を含む端面を有する、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- ビーム導光器及び超音波トランスデューサは、所定の距離だけ分離されている、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記PIUは、約100ヘルツ(Hz)〜約200Hzの範囲の回転速度で前記データ収集プローブを回転させるように構成されたモータを有する、請求項7に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- ビーム導光器は、前記光ファイバの長手方向軸線に垂直な方向から約0°〜約20°の範囲の角度でビームを方向付けるように角度決めされる、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記光学データ収集サブシステム及び前記音響データ収集サブシステムは、それぞれのサブシステムによって生成されるビームが略平行になるように位置付けされる、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記プローブチップは、第1の細長い導体及び第2の細長い導体をさらに含み、ビーム導光器は、第1の細長い導体と第2の細長い導体との間に位置付けされ、各細長い導体は、超音波トランスデューサと電気通信する、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 超音波トランスデューサは前記裏当て材上に配置され、前記超音波トランスデューサは、前記光ファイバの長手方向軸線に垂直な方向から約5°〜約15°の範囲の角度で配置された音響波の誘導面を有する、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記音響データ収集サブシステム及び前記光学データ収集サブシステムは、互いに同軸上に位置付けされる、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- ビーム導光器は、光ファイバの長手方向軸線に垂直な方向から5°〜20°の範囲の角度で光ビームを遠位方向に方向付けるように角度決めされる、請求項1に記載の画像データ収集システム。
- 前記PIUは、前記データ収集プローブを回転させるためのモータを有しており、回転速度は、壁からの反射光及び音響波の取得中に血管の動きが低減されるような回転速度である、請求項7に記載の画像データ収集システム。
