となり、この時間が、犠牲層15を介して第2領域から第1領域にエッチング液が進行する時間、すなわち梁51が第1面21側から形成される時間と考えることができる。犠牲層15を設けない場合であっても、エッチング液がパッシベイション層14まで到達すれば、その後は第1面21に沿って進み、第1面21側から梁51を形成することができる。すなわち、第2領域における未貫通孔31の配列ピッチx1と第3領域における未貫通孔31の配列ピッチx3の差を大きくするほど、第2領域から第1領域にエッチング液が進行する時間は大きくなり、梁51の高さH1が小さくなる。

Claims (11)
- 液体を吐出するためのエネルギ発生素子が表面の長手方向に配列し、前記エネルギ発生素子のそれぞれに液体を共通して供給するための供給口が裏面から前記表面に貫通するように形成された素子基板と、
液体を吐出するための吐出口が前記エネルギ発生素子のそれぞれに対応して形成された流路部材と、
を有する液体吐出ヘッドであって、
前記供給口の内部には、前記長手方向の中心を含まない領域に、前記供給口の短手方向に対向する内壁を繋ぐ少なくとも1つの梁が形成されており、
前記供給口の前記長手方向の一方の端部から他方の端部までの距離をL1、前記一方の端部から当該端部に最も近い位置にある前記梁の前記長手方向の中心までの距離をL2としたとき、
L2/L1≦0.240
が満たされていることを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記供給口の前記表面における前記短手方向の長さをD1、前記裏面における前記短手方向の長さをD2としたとき、
4.0≦(D2/D1)≦10.0
および
45≦(L1/D1)≦300
が更に満たされている請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記D1は0.1mm以上、0.2mm以下である請求項2に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記梁は、前記供給口の長手方向の中央に対して片側にのみ形成されている請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記供給口の内部には、複数の前記梁が形成されており、前記複数の梁は、前記長手方向の中心に対し対称に形成されている請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記梁は、前記供給口の長手方向の中央に対して両側に1つずつ形成されている請求項5に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記梁は、前記供給口において前記裏面より前記表面に向かって突出する前記素子基板と同一の材質で形成されている請求項1ないし6のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記素子基板はシリコンで形成されたシリコン基板である請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記L1は7.0mm以上、33.0mm以下である請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記短手方向と直交する面における前記梁の断面は、五角形を呈している請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記短手方向と直交する面における前記梁の断面は、三角形を呈している請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
