前記冷却工程を行なうときに選択的に前記繰り返し工程によって形成された焼結体の表面を切削加工する切削工程を実施し、前記切削工程における荒加工工程を前記温度低下工程の行われる期間に開始するとともに、前記切削工程における1回以上の仕上げ加工工程は前記温度維持工程の行われる期間中に行ない、前記荒加工工程の工程時間は、前記温度低下工程の工程時間より短く、前記荒加工工程は、前記温度低下工程が完了する時以前に完了する、積層造形物の製造方法が提供される。

ただし、本発明は、造形温度T1と冷却温度T2で実施した前の冷却工程の次の冷却工程において、造形温度T1または冷却温度T2を前の冷却工程における造形温度T1または冷却温度T2と同じ温度に設定する場合だけではなく、上記式(1)から(3)を満足する範囲で前の冷却工程における造形温度T1とは異なる造形温度T1'に変更して設定する場合(T1'→T)、あるいは、前の冷却工程における冷却温度T2とは異なる冷却温度T2'に変更して設定する場合(T2'→T2)を含む。
図6〜図10を用いて、上述した積層造形装置を用いた積層造形物の製造方法について説明する。なお、図6〜図10では、視認性を考慮し図1〜図5で示していた積層造形装置の構成要素を一部省略している。

Claims (1)
- 焼結層形成工程と冷却工程を繰り返すことによる繰り返し工程を備える積層造形物の製造方法であって、
前記焼結層形成工程では、造形温度T1において、リコート工程と焼結工程とを1回以上繰り返すことによって焼結層を形成し、
前記リコート工程では、造形領域上に材料粉体を供給し且つ平坦化して材料粉体層を形成し、
前記焼結工程では、前記材料粉体層の所定の照射領域にレーザ光または電子ビームを照射して前記材料粉体を焼結させ、
前記冷却工程は、
前記焼結層を冷却温度T2まで冷却する温度低下工程と、
前記冷却温度T2まで低下した前記焼結層の温度を維持する温度維持工程とを含み、
前記焼結層のマルテンサイト変態開始温度をMsおよび前記焼結層のマルテンサイト変態終了温度をMf、とすると、下記式(1)から(3)の関係が全て満たされ、

前記冷却工程を行なうときに選択的に前記繰り返し工程によって形成された焼結体の表面を切削加工する切削工程を実施し、
前記切削工程における荒加工工程を前記温度低下工程の行われる期間に開始するとともに、前記切削工程における1回以上の仕上げ加工工程は前記温度維持工程の行われる期間中に行ない、
前記荒加工工程の工程時間は、前記温度低下工程の工程時間より短く、
前記荒加工工程は、前記温度低下工程が完了する時以前に完了する、積層造形物の製造方法。
