Description
特定の実施形態の第1の態様によれば、エアロゾル供給システムでエアロゾル前駆物質からエアロゾルを発生するための誘導加熱組立体が提供される。この誘導加熱組立体は、サセプタと、このサセプタに電流を誘導してサセプタを加熱し、サセプタの表面付近のエアロゾル前駆物質を気化するようになっている駆動コイルとを含み、サセプタは、駆動コイルによる誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域を含み、使用時に感受性の異なるこれら領域におけるサセプタの表面は駆動コイルによる誘導電流によって異なる温度に加熱される。
a)所与の喫煙について蒸気成分(例えば風味剤)を選択できる。従って、加熱コイル650Aのみを駆動すると貯蔵部670Aのみから蒸気が発生し、加熱コイル650Bのみを駆動すると貯蔵部670Bのみから蒸気が発生し、両方の加熱コイル650A、650Bを駆動すると両方の貯蔵部670A、670Bからの蒸気の組み合わせが発生する。
b)所与の喫煙について蒸気量を制御できる。例えば、貯蔵部670Aと貯蔵部670Bが実際に同じ液体を含む場合、両方の加熱コイル650A、650Bを駆動することによって片方の加熱コイルを単独で駆動する場合に比べて濃い(蒸気濃度が高い)煙を発生できる。
c)バッテリー(充電)寿命を延ばすことができる。既に述べたように、図6の電子タバコに1個のカートリッジ(例えば630B)だけが入っている(カートリッジ630Aも入っているのではなく)ときにこの電子タバコを操作することができてもよい。この場合、カートリッジ630Bに対応し、後に貯蔵部670Bの液体を気化するのに用いられる加熱コイル650Bのみを駆動するのがより効率的である。これに対しカートリッジ630A(入っていない)に対応する加熱コイル650Aは駆動されない(このカートリッジおよび関連する加熱エレメント650Aが電子タバコ610には存在しないため)場合、このことによって蒸気出力量を減らすことなく電力消費が節約される。
Claims (22)
- エアロゾル供給システムでエアロゾル前駆物質からエアロゾルを発生するための誘導加熱組立体であって、この誘導加熱組立体は、
サセプタと、
このサセプタに電流を誘導してサセプタを加熱し、サセプタの表面付近のエアロゾル前駆物質を気化するようになっている駆動コイルとを含み、
サセプタは、駆動コイルによる誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域を含み、使用時に感受性の異なるこれら領域におけるサセプタの表面は駆動コイルによる誘導電流によって異なる温度に加熱される誘導加熱組立体。 - 誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、異なる材料を含むサセプタの領域によって供されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 前記材料は銅、アルミニウム、亜鉛、黄銅、鉄、スズ、および鋼の群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- サセプタはほぼ平面状であり、誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、ほぼ平面のサセプタが使用の際に駆動コイルによって発生する磁場に対して異なる角度に向けられた領域によって供されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- ほぼ平面のサセプタは使用の際に駆動コイルによって発生する磁場に対して異なる角度に向けられた領域を供するために1つ以上の凹凸を含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 駆動コイルによる誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、誘導電流の方向に平行でないサセプタの壁によって画定され、これによりサセプタ内の誘導電流の流れを遮り、電流密度の異なる領域を生じさせることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 前記壁はサセプタの外壁であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 前記壁はサセプタの開口部に関連するサセプタの内壁であることを特徴とする請求項6または7記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 駆動コイルはコイル軸に沿って延び、使用時に駆動コイルによって発生する磁場はこのコイル軸に関してほぼ円対称であり、サセプタはコイル軸に関して円対称ではないことを特徴とする請求項1乃至8いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、電気抵抗の異なる領域によって供されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、駆動コイルの使用時にサセプタで発生した磁場に平行な方向で異なる厚さを有するサセプタの領域によって供されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、駆動コイルの使用時にサセプタで発生した磁場が異なる強度を有する領域によって供されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- サセプタはほぼ平面状であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域は、サセプタの面に同心円に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項13記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- エアロゾル前駆物質は液剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至14いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- サセプタは使用時に液剤源から液剤を毛細管現象によって運び、サセプタによって気化した液剤を戻すようになっている多孔性材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項15記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- サセプタに隣接する芯構成要素をさらに含み、この芯構成要素は使用時に液剤源から液剤を毛細管現象によって運び、サセプタによって気化した液剤を戻すようになっていることを特徴とする請求項15または16記載の誘導加熱組立体。
- 請求項1乃至17いずれか1項記載の誘導加熱組立体を含むエアロゾル供給システム。
- エアロゾル供給システムはホストデバイスとカートリッジとを含み、ホストデバイスは、誘導加熱組立体の駆動コイルを含み、カートリッジは誘導加熱組立体のサセプタを含むことを特徴とする請求項18記載のシステム。
- 誘導加熱組立体を含むエアロゾル供給システムに使用するためのカートリッジであって、外部駆動コイルによる誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域を含むサセプタを含み、使用時に感受性の異なるこれら領域におけるサセプタの表面は外部駆動コイルによる誘導電流によって異なる温度に加熱されるようになっているカートリッジ。
- エアロゾル供給システムでエアロゾル前駆物質からエアロゾルを発生するための誘導加熱組立体手段であって、
サセプタ手段と、
このサセプタ手段に電流を誘導してサセプタ手段を加熱し、サセプタ手段の表面付近のエアロゾル前駆物質を気化するための誘導手段とを含み、
サセプタ手段は、誘導手段による誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域を含み、使用時に感受性の異なるこれら領域におけるサセプタの表面は誘導手段による誘導電流によって異なる温度に加熱される誘導加熱組立体手段。 - エアロゾル前駆物質からエアロゾルを発生させる方法であって、
サセプタと、このサセプタに電流を誘導するようになっている駆動コイルとを含み、サセプタは、駆動コイルによる誘導電流に対する感受性の異なる領域を含み、使用時に感受性の異なるこれら領域におけるサセプタの表面は駆動コイルによる誘導電流によって異なる温度に加熱される誘導加熱組立体を提供することと、
サセプタに電流を誘導してサセプタを加熱し、サセプタの表面付近のエアロゾル前駆物質を気化してエアロゾルを発生するために駆動コイルを使用することとを含む方法。
