前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の裏面は、第一の導電性材料を含み、且つ
前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の前記表面のみが、ガス拡散バリアを含み、
前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材は、表面と、裏面とを含み、
前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の前記表面は、第二の導電性材料を含み、
前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材は、封止部材によって前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材に接合され、前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の前記裏面と前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の前記表面が、前記封止部材でその間にチャンバーを画定し、
前記チャンバーは、陰極材料及び陽極材料を含むエレクトロクロミック媒体を含み、且つ
前記第一の導電性材料は、導電性ナノワイヤコーティング、導電性金属メッシュ、または絶縁体/金属/絶縁体スタック(IMIスタック)からなる、前記エレクトロクロミックデバイス。 - 前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材及び第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の前記表面、前記裏面、または前記表面及び前記裏面の両方は、接着促進層を含む、請求項1に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記ガス拡散バリア(複数可)は、プラズマ強化化学蒸着(PECVD)によって塗布された層、中性ビームアシストスパッタリング(NBAS)により塗布された層、原子層蒸着(ALD)によって塗布された層、エチレンビニルアルコールのコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、自己組織化ナノ粒子(SNAP)のポリマーフィルム、有機及び無機材料の交互層を含む多層バリア、またはカチオン性及びアニオン性ポリマーの交互薄膜を含む多層バリア、または軟質のガラス薄膜を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材、前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材、または前記第一の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材及び前記第二の軟質または硬質のプラスチック基材の両方が、ポリエチレンナフタレート(PEN)、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリカーボネート、シクロオレフィン系ポリマー(COP)、シクロオレフィン系コポリマー(COC)、アクリル、ポリアミド、またはエポキシを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一の導電性材料は、第一の導電性ナノワイヤコーティングまたは第一の導電性金属メッシュからなり、前記第二の導電性材料は、第二の導電性ナノワイヤコーティング、第二の導電性金属メッシュ、または第二のIMIスタックを含む、請求項1に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記導電性ナノワイヤコーティング、前記導電性金属メッシュ、または前記IMIスタックは、50Ω/sq未満の抵抗を示す、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一または第二の導電性材料のいずれかまたは両方をオーバーレイする導電性コーティングを更に含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記導電性コーティングは、透明導電性酸化物、カーボンナノチューブ、グラフェン、または導電性ポリマーを含む、請求項7に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記封止部材は、熱硬化性シールまたは紫外線硬化性シールを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記チャンバーは、第一の熱可塑性エレクトロクロミック膜または第一の架橋フィルムである第一のポリマー系エレクトロクロミック膜を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一のポリマー系エレクトロクロミック膜は、第一の熱可塑性エレクトロクロミック膜である、請求項10に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一の熱可塑性エレクトロクロミック膜は、第一の電気活性材料と第一の熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、請求項11に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一のポリマー系エレクトロクロミック膜は、可塑剤を含む、請求項10に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記チャンバーは、第二の電気活性材料及び第二の熱可塑性ポリマーを含む第二の熱可塑性エレクトロクロミック膜を含む、請求項10に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
- 前記第一及び第二の熱可塑性エレクトロクロミック膜は、イオン交換または多孔質膜によって分離される、請求項14に記載のエレクトロクロミックデバイス。
