Description
本出願は、2014年4月1日に出願された、「AIRBAG WITH ACTIVE VENT(アクティブベントを備えたエアバッグ)」という表題の米国特許出願第14/242,707号明細書、および2013年4月3日に出願された、「AIRBAGS WITH PLUGS FOR ACTIVE VENTING(能動排気用のプラグを備えたエアバッグ)」という表題の米国仮特許出願第61/808,151号明細書の優先権を主張するものであり、これらの全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (2)
- エアバッグクッションを膨張させるために膨張ガスを受け入れることができる空洞を形成するエアバッグクッションであって、車両乗員側を向くように構成される第1のパネルと、前記エアバッグの展開中に前記車両乗員に向かう方向以外の方向を向くように構成される第2のパネルとを備える前記エアバッグクッションと、
アクティブベントであって、
前記第2のパネルにより形成された開口と、
前記開口の第1の側に隣接する第1の位置および前記開口の第2の側に隣接する第2の位置で前記第2のパネルに取り付けられたパッチとを備えるアクティブベントと、
前記パッチに結合された第1の端部と、前記エアバッグクッションの前記第1のパネルに結合された前記第1の端部と反対側の第2の端部とを有する1本の制御テザーとを備え、
前記制御テザーの一部が、前記第2のパネルに取り付けられ、
前記制御テザーは、前記クッションが膨張するにつれて、前記開口を介して膨張ガスが前記エアバッグクッションの内側から外に出るのを防止または阻止する手法で、前記開口を形成する前記第2のパネルの前記一部と前記パッチを相互作用させることにより前記アクティブベントを閉塞するように弛緩状態からピンと張った状態に移行するように構成され、
前記制御テザーは、前記エアバッグの前記第1のパネルの移動により、前記開口を形成する前記第2のパネルの前記一部と前記パッチが相互作用しなくなることを許容することにより前記アクティブベントを開放するために、前記ピンと張った状態から再び前記弛緩状態に移行するように構成され、
前記制御テザーは、前記クッションが更に膨張するときに、前記アクティブベントを閉塞状態に移行させるために、前記開口を通して前記パッチを前記エアバッグクッションの内側に向けて引っ張るように構成されることを特徴とするエアバッグアセンブリ。 - 前記車両乗員がアウト・オブ・ポジション状態にあるときに、前記テザーが、前記エアバッグの前記展開の全体にわたって前記アクティブベントを閉塞することなく前記弛緩状態のままであるように構成される、請求項1に記載のエアバッグアセンブリ。
