Description

本発明は、以下の実施形態を含むが、これらに限定はされない。
直径3mm及び長さ10mmの円筒形ロッドを、0.17g/cm3の泡状炭素から作製した。3つの等間隔の直径約1mmの穴を炭素にドリル穿孔した。孔は発泡体の全幅を貫通した。綿繊維を、図4に示すように孔に通した。エアロゾル前駆体溶液を泡状繊維組立体に適用した。繊維は、前駆体溶液のための貯蔵部として機能した。4.2ボルト及び0.9アンペアの電流を基板に通した。30回超のエアロゾルの吸入が生成された。
直径3mm及び長さ10mmの円筒形ロッドを、0.17g/ccの泡状炭素から作製した。直径約1.5mm及び深さ1.5mmの孔を、泡状炭素の中心にドリル穿孔した。エアロゾル前駆体溶液を浸み込ませた綿ボールを、図5に示すように孔に挿入した。4.2ボルト及び0.9アンペアの電流を基板に通した。30回超のエアロゾルの吸入が生成された。
直径3mm及び長さ10mmの円筒形ロッドを、0.17g/cm3の泡状炭素から作製した。約2mmの厚さ及び約4mmの直径を有する炭素布帛で形成した円板の中心に炭素布を挿入した。組立体に適用された約0.6mLのエアロゾル前駆体溶液。4.2ボルト及び0.7アンペアの電流を泡状炭素発熱体に適用すると、120回超のエアロゾルの吸入が生成された。泡状炭素発熱体2010で形成した例示的な噴霧器組立体2000の図、及び炭素布帛エアロゾル前駆体輸送要素2100を、図22に示す。更なる例示的な噴霧器組立体を図23〜図25に示す。図23において、炭素布帛エアロゾル前駆体輸送要素2100は、多孔質炭素発熱体2010の脇に、その長さに沿って配列する。図24において、2つの炭素布帛エアロゾル前駆体輸送要素2100a及び2100bは、多孔質炭素発熱体2010の2つの面の脇に、その長さに沿って配列する。図25において、3つの炭素布帛エアロゾル前駆体輸送要素2100c、2100d、及び2100eは、多孔質炭素発熱体2010を取り囲む円板として提供する。
実質的に図13に示す本開示の実施形態に従う噴霧器を、約8.4mmの長さ、約1.4mmの直径、2.5アンペアの抵抗、及び0.3g/cm3の密度を有する泡状炭素で形成した多孔質炭素発熱体を使用して調製した。約2mmの厚さ及び約4mmの幅を有する炭素布帛エアロゾル前駆体輸送要素を使用した。約3.7Vの電池からの電流を泡状炭素発熱体に適用して、各々20回の約3秒間の吸入をシミュレーションし、記録された値を20回の吸入にわたって平均した。例示的な噴霧器を、エアロゾル溶液伝達のために繊維ガラス製ウィックの周囲に巻き付けた金属線抵抗発熱体を利用する3つの市販の電子タバコと比較した。以下の表は、各試験事例における測定した全粒子状物質(TPM)、電流、及び出力を示す。本炭素/炭素噴霧器は、従来の噴霧器を利用するデバイスと少なくとも同じように動作した。
Claims (34)
- 複数の気孔を有する多孔質炭素で形成される電気抵抗発熱体を含む噴霧器を備えた電子喫煙物品であって、
前記電気抵抗発熱体が、第1の端部と、電力源との電気接続に適合された第2の反対の端部と、を有し、
前記多孔質炭素中の前記気孔の大部分が閉気孔である、前記電子喫煙物品。 - 前記多孔質炭素が、前記電気抵抗発熱体の乾燥質量の90%以上を構成する、請求項1に記載の前記電子喫煙物品。
- 前記多孔質炭素の乾燥質量が、90%以上炭素である、請求項1に記載の前記電子喫煙物品。
- 前記気孔の80容積%以上が閉気孔である、請求項1に記載の前記電子喫煙物品。
- 前記電気抵抗発熱体が、1秒〜3秒の時間、0.2アンペア〜12アンペアの電流に供されるときに、150℃〜550℃の温度に発熱するように適合される、請求項1に記載の前記電子喫煙物品。
