心房内固定部(12)が、デバイス(10)の拡張状態においてバルーン状の形状(13)を有し、処置される心臓(50)の心房(56;54)と心室(57;55)との間に位置する本来の僧帽弁(60;66)の弁輪(70)の直径(71)より大きい直径(d1)を有し、デバイス(10;100;200;300)の拡張状態において処置される心臓(50)の心房(56;54)内で半径方向の力によってデバイス(10)を固定するのに適した寸法および構成を有し、
