Claims (9)
- 電源によって供給される電流に基づき駆動するアブソリュートエンコーダであって、
電源から駆動電流が供給され、前記アブソリュートエンコーダに対して出力する定電圧の大きさ及び当該定電圧を出力するのに必要な駆動電流の大きさが異なる、互いに並列接続された複数のレギュレータと、
前記複数のレギュレータのうちの少なくとも1つのレギュレータの出力電圧を検出する電圧検出部と、
前記電圧検出部により検出された出力電圧に基づいて、前記アブソリュートエンコーダが駆動する際に消費する電源からの電流の異常を検知する異常検知部と、
を備える、アブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 各前記レギュレータは、当該レギュレータに固有の規定値以下の駆動電流が供給されたときは当該レギュレータに固有の定電圧を出力し、前記規定値を超える駆動電流が供給されたときは前記定電圧よりも小さい電圧を出力する、請求項1に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記異常検知部は、前記電圧検出部により検出された出力電圧が所定の閾値以下となった場合、前記アブソリュートエンコーダが消費する電流に異常が発生したと検知する、請求項1または2に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記アブソリュートエンコーダが消費する電流に異常が発生したと前記異常検知部により検知された場合にアラーム信号を出力するアラーム出力部を備える、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記複数のレギュレータは、
電源が出力する電流を、前記アブソリュートエンコーダを駆動するための電流として供給する第1のレギュレータと、
前記第1のレギュレータよりも出力する定電圧が小さく、かつ当該定電圧を出力するのに必要な駆動電流が大きい第2のレギュレータと、
を含む、請求項3または4に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記閾値は、前記第1のレギュレータが出力する定電圧と前記第2のレギュレータが出力する定電圧との間に設定される、請求項5に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記第2のレギュレータが出力する定電圧は、前記アブソリュートエンコーダが消費する電流に異常が発生したと前記異常検知部により検知された場合に前記アラーム出力部がアラーム信号を出力するのに必要な大きさを少なくとも有する、請求項5または6に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記アブソリュートエンコーダを駆動するための電流を出力する電源は、制御電源である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記アブソリュートエンコーダを駆動するための電流を出力する電源は、制御電源とは異なるバックアップ電源である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
