第1の上流端のチャンネルを、例えば適切なセラミックセメントで塞ぐことができ、また、第1の上流端で塞がれなかったチャンネルも、第2の下流端で塞ぐことができる。通常、第1の上流端で塞がれたチャンネルの配置は、塞がれた下流チャンネル端と開口下流チャンネル端の配置と類似し、チェッカーボードに似ている。
いくつかの実施態様において、アンモニアは、少なくとも100℃の温度で酸化される。別の実施態様において、アンモニアは約150℃から750℃の温度で酸化される。特定の実施態様において、該温度範囲は175から550℃である。別の実施態様において、該温度範囲は175から400℃である。更に別の実施態様において、該温度範囲は450から900℃、好ましくは500から750℃、500から650℃、450から550℃、又は650から850℃である。
第1触媒層を、次の通り調製した:脱イオン水と約3.4−4.2μmのd50を有するアルミナウォッシュコートを、高剪断ミキサーを用いて容器内で混合した。コハク酸を、約100g/ft3の濃度を得るために徐々に添加し、混合物を連続的に、少なくとも30分間撹拌した。硝酸パラジウムを添加し、得られた混合物を更に60分間撹拌した。ナトラゾール(Natrasol)TMを添加し、得られたスラリーを24時間混合した。最終的なウォッシュコートを200cpsiのコーディエライト基材に塗布乾燥後、500℃でか焼した。
実施例1により調製された触媒のNH3変換性能は、類似であるが予め固定されたバナジアのない触媒体と比較された。
実施例1により調製された触媒のNOxの選択性能は、実施例2に記載されたのと同じ試験条件下で、類似であるが予め固定されたバナジアのない触媒と比較された。
実施例1により調製された触媒を通過したガス中のNH3とNOxの全体的な濃度は、実施例2に記載されたのと同じ試験条件下で、類似であるが予め固定されたバナジアのない触媒と比較された。
Claims (14)
- a.チタニア上にバナジウムを装填する工程;
b.工程(a)の後に、バナジウムが装填されたチタニアをか焼して予め固定された触媒を形成する工程;
c.耐火性金属酸化物担体上に担持された貴金属触媒で不活性基材をコーティングして第1層を形成する工程;及び
d.工程(c)においてコーティングされた前記不活性基材を前記予め固定された触媒でコーティングして第2層を形成する工程
を含む触媒体を調製するための方法であって、耐火性金属酸化物担体上に担持された貴金属触媒の層が予め固定された触媒層と物理的に接触している、方法。 - 前記第1層及び前記第2層を含有する前記不活性基材が、400−600℃の温度で1−10時間か焼される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1層がバナジウムを含まず、前記第2層が貴金属を含まない、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1層がアルミナ上に担持された白金及びパラジウムから選択される少なくとも一種の貴金属を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記不活性基材が、ハニカムフロースルー型モノリス、ハニカムウォールフロー型モノリス及び波形金属プレートからなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記バナジウムがチタニアの重量を基準として0.1−10重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2層がタングステンの酸化物及び/又はモリブデンの酸化物を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第1層が、アルミナ担体上の白金及びパラジウムから選択される一又は複数種の白金族金属を含み、前記白金族金属がアルミナ担体の重量を基準として0.05−0.50重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第2層が前記第1層の少なくとも一部に塗布される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記不活性基材がフロースルー型ハニカムレンガである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記第1層及び第2層の上流の前記フロースルー型ハニカムレンガ上に配置される選択的触媒還元(SCR)触媒を更に含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- a.化学量論超過の酸素中で炭化水素を燃焼することで得られる排出ガスであって、アンモニアを含有する排出ガスを、請求項1に記載の方法により得られ得る触媒体と接触させる工程;及び
b.前記アンモニアの少なくとも一部を酸化してN2及び/又はNOxを生成する工程
を含む、排出ガスを処理するための方法。 - 上流におけるNOxの選択的触媒還元プロセスを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法により得られる触媒体とSCR触媒とを含む、排出ガスを処理するためのシステム。
