Description
(1)画像形成装置
図9は本発明に従うベルト部材(無端ベルト)を用いたベルト装置としての画像加熱装置を定着装置(定着器)14として搭載した画像形成装置1の一例の構成略図である。
本例における定着装置14は、ベルト加熱方式、加圧ローラ駆動方式(テンションレスタイプ)の画像加熱装置である。図3は用紙出口側から見た定着装置14を背面側(用紙出口側)から見た外観斜視図、図4は図3の定着装置14の駆動側端部部分の拡大図、図5は定着装置14の拡大横断右側面図、図6は定着装置14の中途部分省略の縦断正面模式図である。
図7はベルトユニット14Uの左側(一端側)の分解斜視模式図、図8は同じく右側(他端側)の分解斜視模式図である。ベルトユニット14Uは、可撓性を有する筒状の定着ベルト14aと、この定着ベルト14aの内側に配設された、セラミックヒータ(加熱部材)141、ガイド部材142、ステー(補強部材)143を有する。また、左側と右側の定着フランジ144F・144Rを有する。定着ベルト14a、セラミックヒータ141、ガイド部材142、ステー143は左右方向に長い部材である。定着ベルト14aは自由状態では自身の弾発性によりほぼ円筒形状を呈する。
加圧ローラ14bは、鉄、アルミ等の金属製の円筒状芯金14b−1の外周側にスポンジやシリコンゴム等の弾性層14b−2と、表層には離型層14b−3としてのPFA層を備えている。芯金14b−1には左右に同軸に軸部14b−4が設けられている。
制御部200は画像形成開始信号(ジョブ実行信号)に基づいてモータMを起動して加圧ローラ14bの回転駆動を開始する。この加圧ローラ14bの回転駆動による加圧ローラ14bと定着ベルト14aの外面とのニップ部Nにおける摩擦力で定着ベルト14aに回転力(回転トルク)が作用する。これにより、定着ベルト14aが、その内面がニップ部Nにおいてヒータ141を含むガイド部材142の外面に密着して摺擦しつつ図5において矢印R14aの反時計方向に加圧ローラ14bの回転周速度にほぼ対応した周速度で従動回転する。
図1は定着ベルト14aの内周面に対する潤滑剤145の形成形態の模式図である。前述したように、定着ベルト14aの内周面にはヒータ141及びガイド部材142の摺擦面における摩擦力を低減するために潤滑剤145が塗布されている。定着ベルト14aの内周面に対する潤滑剤145の塗布範囲については、定着ベルト14aの内周面の軸方向全域もしくは画像形成装置における用紙Sの最大通紙幅以上の領域とする。

3)ドライ潤滑剤:3wt%未満
横長のノズル40をもつディスペンサ41の先端から潤滑剤145を一定吐出量で落下させながら、定着ベルト14aの内側でノズル40を矢印X方向に一定速度で動かして、潤滑剤145を定着ベルト長手方向(幅方向)に均一に供給可能にしている。定着ベルト14aは、2本のベルト支持ローラ42により一定速度で回転させている。ディスペンサ41のスライドは、ボールねじとモータによる位置制御を行いつつディスペンサ41の吐出ポンプの吐出タイミングをモータと同期制御させている。塗布量管理は、吐出口の形と潤滑剤145の流量センサの指示値により管理する。
(1)上記の実施例においては、2種類の潤滑剤145a、145bにより2層からなる潤滑被膜を形成した。しかし、2層構成に限られるものではない。最後に塗布される潤滑剤に含まれる潤滑油の配合割合がそれよりも前に塗布される潤滑剤のものよりも少なければ良く、潤滑被膜は2層以上であれば何層あっても良い。
Claims (15)
- 画像形成装置に交換可能に用いられる無端ベルトであって、
前記無端ベルトの内周面に形成され、固体潤滑剤と潤滑油を含む第1の潤滑被膜と、
前記第1の潤滑被膜の上に形成され、固体潤滑剤と潤滑油を含む第2の潤滑被膜と、を有し、
前記第1の潤滑被膜に占める潤滑油の含有割合は3wt%以上であり、前記第2の潤滑被膜に占める潤滑油の含有割合は3wt%未満であることを特徴とする無端ベルト。 - 前記第1の潤滑被膜に占める潤滑油の含有割合は3wt%以上、10wt%未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤はフッ素樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤はグラファイトであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤は二硫化モリブデンであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤は二硫化タングステンであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の潤滑油はフッ素オイルであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第1の潤滑被膜の潤滑油はシリコンオイルであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第2の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤はフッ素樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第2の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤はグラファイトであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第2の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤は二硫化モリブデンであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
- 前記第2の潤滑被膜の固体潤滑剤は二硫化タングステンであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の無端ベルト。
