ゲルパーメーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)法により、以下の測定条件で分子量を測定した。

カラム:東ソー(株)製ガードカラムPWXL1本およびGMPWXL2本(温度40℃)
溶離液:0.5mol/l酢酸緩衝液(0.5mol/l酢酸(和光純薬工業(株)製)+0.5mol/l酢酸ナトリウム(キシダ化学(株)製)水溶液、pH約4.2)
流速:0.8ml/分
検出器:
ビスコテック社製TDA MODEL301(濃度検出器および90°光散乱検出器および粘度検出器(温度40℃))RALLS法
測定サンプル:サンプル濃度を0.5%に調整した後、pH10〜12になるまで水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を添加し、80℃以上の湯浴に1時間浸した後、硫酸でpH6〜8に調整し、溶離液で0.025%に希釈して測定した。
撹拌機、温度計、還流冷却管、窒素ガス導入管を備えた反応装置に、固形分濃度88%のコーン澱粉(商品名『コーンスターチ』、王子コーンスターチ(株)製)100.0部、αアミラーゼ(商品名『クライスターゼL1』、天野エンザイム(株)製)0.03部、およびイオン交換水480部を加えて、75℃に昇温し、40分撹拌後、90℃に昇温して更に10分間撹拌した。濃度が15.0%となるようにイオン交換水で希釈して、澱粉(C−1)を得た。得られた澱粉(C−1)の粘度を表1に示す(以下同様)。
合成例1において、減成剤の使用量を0.01部に変えて合成し、澱粉(C−2)を得た。
合成例1において、減成剤を用いずに合成し、澱粉(C−3)を得た。
合成例1において、αアミラーゼ0.03部をAPS1.0部に変えて合成し、澱粉(C−4)を得た。
合成例1において、原料澱粉を酸化澱粉(商品名『王子エースA』、王子コーンスターチ(株)製)に変えて合成し、成分(C−5)を得た。
撹拌機、温度計、還流冷却管、窒素ガス導入管および2つの滴下ロートを備えた反応装置に、イオン交換水300.0部を入れ、窒素ガスを通じて反応系内の酸素を除去した後、85℃まで加熱した。別途、滴下ロート(1)に50%のAM水溶液377.0部、IA7.5部、80%のAA12.5部、DM25部、60%のDML20.8部、SMAS5.25部、DMAA1.25部およびイオン交換水180.0部を仕込んだ。また、滴下ロート(2)にAPS0.2部とイオン交換水60部を仕込んだ。次に、滴下ロート(1)および(2)より反応装置に3時間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、APS0.1部とイオン交換水5.0部を入れ1時間撹拌した。これにビニルモノマー(B)として、DMAA0.625部および先に調製した澱粉(C−1)416.6部を添加した後、75℃にてAPS0.1部とイオン交換水5.0部を入れ1時間撹拌した後、濃度が20.0%となるようにイオン交換水で希釈し、反応生成物(D−1)を得た。得られた反応生成物の該物性値を表2に示す(以下同様)。
実施例1において、モノマー成分の種類または使用量を表2に示すように変えて合成し、反応生成物(D−2)〜(D−10)を得た。
実施例1において、澱粉(C)の種類を表2に示すように変えて合成し、反応生成物(D−11)〜(D−14)を得た。
実施例1において、ビニルモノマー(B)の使用量を表2に示すように変えて合成し、反応生成物(D−15)〜(D−17)を得た。
実施例1において、ビニルモノマー(B)又は澱粉(C)の使用量を表2に示すように変えて合成し、反応生成物(D−18)を得た。
実施例1において、ビニルモノマー(B)又は澱粉(C)の使用量を表2に示すように変えて合成し、濃度が15.0%である反応生成物(D−19)〜(D−23)を得た。
実施例1において、ビニルモノマー(B)を用いずに合成し、反応生成物(D−24)を得た。
実施例21、22において、ビニルモノマー(B)を用いずにそれぞれ合成し、濃度15.0%である反応生成物(D−25)〜(D−26)を得た。
撹拌機、温度計、還流冷却管、窒素ガス導入管および3つの滴下ロートを備えた反応装置に、澱粉(C−1)416.5部、イオン交換水300.0部を入れ、窒素ガスを通じて反応系内の酸素を除去した後、85℃まで加熱した。滴下ロート(1)に50%のAM水溶液377.0部、IA7.5部、80%のAA12.5部、DM25部、60%のDML20.8部、SMAS5.25部、DMAA1.25部およびイオン交換水180.0部を仕込んだ。また、滴下ロート(2)にAPS0.2部とイオン交換水60部を仕込んだ。次に、滴下ロート(1)および(2)より反応装置に3時間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、APS0.1部とイオン交換水5.0部を入れ1時間撹拌した後、濃度が20.0%となるようにイオン交換水で希釈し、反応生成物(D−27)を得た。
段ボール古紙をナイアガラ式ビーターにて叩解し、カナディアン・スタンダード・フリーネス(C.S.F)370mlに調整したパルプに硫酸バンドを1.5%添加して、pH調整のために5%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を添加しpH6.7とした。次に上記の各実施例及び比較例で得られた各反応生成物(D−1)〜(D−27)を紙力増強剤として対パルプ1.0%を添加して、撹拌した後、タッピ・シートマシンにて、坪量180g/m2となるよう抄紙し5kg/cm2で2分間プレス脱水をした。次いで、回転型乾燥機で105℃において3分間乾燥し、温度20℃、湿度65%の条件下にて24時間調湿した。
(比破裂強度)
前記方法で得られた各試験用紙を用い、JIS P 8131に準拠して測定し、比破裂強度(kPa・m2/g)で示した。結果を表3に示す。
(比引張強度)
前記方法で得られた各試験用紙を用い、JIS P 8113に準拠して測定し、比引張強度(N・m2/g)で示した。結果を表3に示す。
(比圧縮強度)
前記方法で得られた各試験用紙を用い、JIS P 8126に準拠して測定し、比圧縮強度(N・m2/g)で示した。結果を表3に示す。
Claims (12)
- アクリルアミド系重合体(A)に連鎖移動性置換基を有するビニルモノマー(B)および澱粉(C)を、過酸化物の存在下で反応させて得られる反応生成物(D)を主成分として含有する製紙用添加剤。
- 各成分の使用割合(固形分換算)が、アクリルアミド系重合体(A)100重量部に対して、前記ビニルモノマー(B)0.01〜80重量部、前記澱粉(C)5〜1000重量部を用いる請求項1に記載の製紙用添加剤。
- アクリルアミド系重合体(A)がアクリルアミド類50〜100重量%、アニオン性ビニルモノマー0〜50重量%及び/又はカチオン性ビニルモノマー0〜50重量%を含むモノマー混合物を重合して得られるものである請求項1又は2に記載の製紙用添加剤。
- 前記モノマー混合物が架橋性ビニルモノマーを含むものである請求項3に記載の製紙用添加剤。
- 前記モノマー混合物が連鎖移動剤を含むものである請求項3又は4に記載の製紙用添加剤。
- アクリルアミド系重合体(A)の重量平均分子量が100,000〜10,000,000である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の製紙用添加剤。

- 紙力増強剤として用いられる請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の製紙用添加剤。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の製紙用添加剤を用いて得られる紙。
