Description
金属クロム濃度が1〜20g/Lであり、
伝導性塩として塩化物のアルカリ金属塩またはアンモニウム塩から選ばれる2種以上を使用し、かつ、それらの総量が150〜400g/Lであり、
鉄および硫黄含有有機化合物を含まない、
ことを特徴とする3価クロムめっき液である。
塩基性硫酸クロム 32〜96g/L(金属クロムとして5〜15g/L)
塩化アンモニウム 80〜140g/L
塩化カリウム 120〜200g/L
ホウ酸 50〜100g/L
臭化アンモニウム 1〜10g/L
ギ酸アンモニウム 8〜24g/L
pH2.5〜3.5
3価クロムめっき:
塩基性硫酸クロム64g/L(金属クロムとして10g/L)、ホウ酸65g/L、臭化アンモニウム6g/L、ギ酸アンモニウム16g/L、以下の表1に記載の濃度(g/L)の導電性塩を含有する3価クロムめっき液を、前記成分を水に溶解させることで調製した。
装置:加温型267mlのハルセル容器
試料:光沢ニッケルめっきを2μm施した真鍮板
アノード:カーボン
全電流:5A
浴温:32℃
攪拌:空気攪拌
めっき時間:4分
耐食性および耐塩害性
実施例1の組成1の3価クロムめっき液に、常法に従って前処理したABS樹脂の試験片(1dm2)を3価クロムめっき液に浸漬し、浴温32℃、電流密度10A/dm2の条件で膜厚0.25μmとなるまでめっきした。このめっき部材について、外観を自由評価し、更に、以下の方法により耐食性および耐塩害性を調べた。その結果を表3に示した。なお、比較として、実施例1の組成1の3価クロムめっき液にサッカリン酸ナトリウムを3g/Lで添加しためっき液(比較めっき液1)と、塩基性硫酸クロム160g/L(金属クロムとして25g/L)、塩化アンモニウム95g/L、塩化カリウム135g/L、ホウ酸65g/L、臭化アンモニウム6g/L、ギ酸アンモニウム40g/L、塩化第二鉄240ppmのめっき液(比較めっき液2)と、無水クロム酸250g/L等を含む6価クロムめっき液(比較めっき液3)を調製し、上記と同様にしてめっき部材にめっきを行い、更に外観を自由評価し、耐食性および耐塩害性を調べた。
クロムめっきしためっき部材をJIS H 8502に定めるキャス試験を80時間実施し全腐食率によるレイティングナンバーにより耐食性を評価した。
クロムめっきしためっき部材に塩化カルシウム飽和水溶液とカオリン30gを混合した泥状の調整剤を塗布し、60℃、23RH(相対湿度)の条件で336時間放置した。これについて以下の評価基準により、耐塩害性を評価した。

Claims (5)
- 3価クロム化合物、伝導性塩、pH緩衝剤および錯化剤を含有する3価クロムめっき液であって、
金属クロム濃度が1〜20g/Lであり、
伝導性塩として塩化カリウムと塩化アンモニウムを使用し、かつ、それらの総量が150〜400g/Lであり、かつ、塩化カリウム/塩化アンモニウムの濃度比が1.1〜2.0であり、
鉄および硫黄含有有機化合物を含まない、
ことを特徴とする3価クロムめっき液。 - 錯化剤が、金属クロム濃度に対して0.3〜2倍モル濃度である請求項1記載の3価クロムめっき液。
- 3価クロム化合物が、塩基性硫酸クロム、硫酸クロム、塩化クロムからなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上である請求項1記載の3価クロムめっき液。
- pHが2〜4である請求項1〜3の何れかに記載の3価クロムめっき液。
- 被めっき部材を請求項1〜4の何れかに記載の3価クロムめっき液で処理することを特徴とする3価クロムめっき方法。
