- タービンシャフト(120)、前記タービンシャフト(120)の一端(124)に支持されたタービンホイール(110)及び前記タービンシャフト(120)の反対側の端部(128)に支持された歯車(130)を備えるターボコンパウンドユニットにおいて、
前記ターボコンパウンドユニット(100)は、
複数の転動要素(166a、166b)をそれぞれ収容する軸線方向に間隔を開けて配置された少なくとも二つの軌道面を含む転がり軸受カートリッジ(160)を有しており、前記転がり軸受カートリッジ(160)は、前記タービンホイール(110)と前記歯車(130)との間で前記タービンシャフト(120)上に同軸に配置されて前記タービンシャフト(120)が回転できるようにしており、
前記ターボコンパウンドユニット(100)が更にハウジング(140)を備えており、
前記転がり軸受カートリッジ(160)は、前記タービンシャフト(120)に対して固定されたインナレース(162)と前記ハウジング(140)に対して固定されたアウタレース(164)を有しており、前記インナレース(162)及び前記アウタレース(164)が、前記転動要素(166a、166b)のための少なくとも2つの軸線方向に間隔を開けて配置された軌道面を形成しており、かつ前記歯車(130)は前記インナレース(162)の横方向の端部に対して押し付け固定されて、前記インナレース(162)の前記横方向の端部が前記歯車(130)に密着接触している、
ことを特徴とするターボコンパウンドユニット。 - 前記転動要素(166a、166b)がボールあるいはローラである、請求項1に記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記インナレース(162)の横方向の他の端部がオイルスリンガ(170)に延びている、請求項1又は2に記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記オイルスリンガ(170)は、前記インナレース(162)と一体に形成されている、請求項3に記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記オイルスリンガ(170)は、前記インナレース(162)のうち前記タービンホイール(110)に対向する横方向の端部に配置されている、請求項3又は4に記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記オイルスリンガ(170)は、前記インナレース(162)の横方向の端部から半径方向外側に突出する部分(172)を有している、請求項3乃至5のいずれかに記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記アウタレース(164)は、前記軌道面の間で軸方向に配置された、少なくとも一つの給油口(168)と少なくとも一つの排油口(169)を有している、請求項3乃至6のいずれかに記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記給油口(168)及び前記排油口(169)は、前記アウタレース(164)の周囲に沿って間隔を開けて配置されている、請求項7に記載のターボコンパウンドユニット。
- 前記歯車(130)は、前記タービンシャフト(110)からクランクシャフト(30)にトルクを伝達するように配置されている、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載のターボコンパウンドユニット(100)を備える内燃機関。
- ターボコンパウンドユニット(100)を製造する方法であって、
タービンシャフト(120)の一端(124)に、前記タービンシャフト(120)と同軸なタービンホイール(110)を回転方向に堅固に配置する段階、
前記タービンホイール(110)及び前記タービンシャフト(120)をハウジング(140)内に挿入する段階、
複数の転動要素(166a、166b)をそれぞれ収容する軸線方向に間隔を開けて配置された少なくとも二つの軌道面を有している転がり軸受カートリッジ(160)から成り、該軸受カートリッジ(160)は前記タービンシャフト(120)に対して固定されたインナレース(162)と前記ハウジング(140)に対して固定されたアウタレース(164)を有し、前記タービンシャフト(120)の周りに同軸に配置して、前記タービンシャフト(120)が前記ハウジング(140)に対して回転できるようにする段階、
前記タービンシャフト(120)のうち前記タービンホイール(110)に対して反対側の端部(128)に同軸な歯車(130)を配置する段階、を含み、前記タービンシャフト(120)のうち前記タービンホイール(110)に対して反対側の端部(128)に同軸な歯車(130)を配置する段階が、前記インナレース(162)の横方向の端部に対して前記歯車(130)を押し付け固定し、それによって前記歯車(130)が前記転がり軸受カートリッジ(160)に密着接触して配置されることを含んでいる方法。
