- 円筒状ステント(52)を用いて製造した曲げ特性を有するカバードステントであって、
前記円筒状ステント(52)の内面には、PTFEテープ(10)が、前記円筒状ステント(52)の長さ方向に沿って所定の間隔で配置された区間(E)にのみ設けられ、前記円筒状ステント(52)の外面全体にPTFEテープ(10−1)が設けられ、
外面の前記PTFEテープ(10−1)は、内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)が位置する区間(E)に相当する部分は内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)と接着状態が維持されている一方、内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)が位置していない領域は、前記円筒状ステント(52)に対して自由な状態を維持されており、
前記円筒状ステント(52)において内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)が位置していない領域は、複数個の交絡部(3)と交差直線部(4)を有するように、ワイヤーが互いに交差されて編まれて形成された菱形空間部(5)の大きさが外力によって変わるように構成されていることを特徴とする、カバードステント。 - 前記円筒状ステント(52)の内面においてPTFEテープ(10)が位置していない領域が複数存在していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のカバードステント。

前記治具の長さ方向に沿って所定の間隔を置いて複数個に区画した区間(E)にのみPTFEテープ(10)を巻くテーピング作業を行う過程と、
前記円筒状ステント(52)を、前記PTFEテープ(10)が区間(E)別にテーピングされた治具(70)に外嵌する過程と、
前記治具(70)に外嵌された前記円筒状ステント(52)の外面全体にPTFEテープ(10−1)を巻くテーピング作業を行う過程と、
前記円筒状ステント(52)の外面全体にPTFEテープ(10−1)を巻くテーピング作業を完了した状態で、熱加圧装置に投入して加熱と共に圧力を加える過程と、
前記円筒状ステント(52)の内面に位置しているPTFEテープ(10)と円筒状ステント(52)の外面に位置しているPTFEテープ(10−1)とが円筒状ステント(52)の空間部(5)を介して互いに接着される一方で、外面に位置しているPTFEテープ(10−1)において内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)が位置していない領域は接着する内面の前記PTFEテープ(10)がないため円筒状ステント(52)に対して自由になる過程と、
前記治具(70)を除去する過程とを含んでなることを特徴とする、カバードステントの製造方法。 - 前記円筒状ステント(52)の内面において前記PTFEテープ(10)が位置していない領域が複数存在していることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のカバードステントの製造方法。
