Description
車両用冷却装置10の制御系について説明する。図2は車両用冷却装置10が備える制御系の構成を示す概略図である。図2に示すように、車両用冷却装置10は、冷却系13を制御するコントローラ30を有している。マイコン等によって構成されるコントローラ30には、ラジエータ16の温度(以下、ラジエータ温度Trと記載する。)を検出するラジエータ温度センサ31、PCU12の温度(以下、PCU温度Tpと記載する。)を検出するPCU温度センサ32、および外気の温度(以下、外気温度Taと記載する。)を検出する外気温センサ33が接続されている。
冷却系13の異常を診断する異常診断制御について説明する。図3および図4は異常診断制御の実行手順の一例を示すフローチャートである。図3および図4においては、符号A,Bの箇所で互いに接続されている。また、図5は異常診断制御におけるラジエータ温度Tr、PCU温度Tpおよび外気温度Taの推移の一例を示す線図である。なお、図3および図5に示したIGスイッチは、イグニッションスイッチ37を意味している。
前述した異常診断制御の実行に伴う冷却系13の温度分布の変化について説明する。図6および図7は冷却系13の温度分布の一例を簡単に示した図である。図6(a)にはイグニッションスイッチ37をオフ操作したときの温度分布が示され、図6(b)には第1動作モードによって冷却ファン22を駆動した後の温度分布が示される。また、図7(a)および(b)には第2動作モードによってウォータポンプ15を駆動した後の温度分布が示される。
前述の説明では、1回の第1動作モードおよび第2動作モードに基づいて冷却系13の異常診断を行っているが、これに限られることはなく、複数回の第1動作モードおよび第2動作モードに基づいて冷却系13の異常診断を行っても良い。図8は異常診断制御におけるラジエータ温度Tr、PCU温度Tpおよび外気温度Taの推移の一例を示す線図である。図8に示す異常診断制御においては、2回の第1動作モードおよび第2動作モードに基づいて冷却系13の異常診断が行われている。

Claims (7)
- 発熱部品を冷却する冷却系を備える車両用冷却装置であって、
冷却液が循環する循環流路に設けられ、冷却液を冷却するラジエータと、
前記循環流路に設けられ、冷却液を循環させる冷却液ポンプと、
前記ラジエータに対向して設けられ、冷却風を生成する冷却ファンと、
前記冷却系の異常を診断する場合に、前記冷却液ポンプを停止させて前記冷却ファンを駆動する第1動作モードを開始する第1モード制御部と、
前記第1動作モードが終了した後に、前記冷却ファンを停止させて前記冷却液ポンプを駆動する第2動作モードを開始する第2モード制御部と、
前記第2動作モードが開始された後に、前記ラジエータの温度に基づいて、前記冷却系の異常を診断する異常診断部と、
を有する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項1記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記異常診断部は、前記ラジエータと前記発熱部品との温度差に基づいて、前記冷却系の異常を診断する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項2記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記異常診断部は、前記ラジエータと前記発熱部品との温度差が診断閾値を上回る場合には、前記冷却系が異常であると診断する一方、前記ラジエータと前記発熱部品との温度差が前記診断閾値を下回る場合には、前記冷却系が正常であると診断する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記第1モード制御部は、乗員によって起動スイッチがオフ操作された場合に、前記第1動作モードを開始する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記第1モード制御部は、前記ラジエータまたは前記発熱部品と外気との温度差が第1閾値を上回る場合に、前記第1動作モードを開始する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記第1モード制御部は、前記ラジエータと前記発熱部品との温度差が第2閾値を下回る場合に、前記第1動作モードを開始する、車両用冷却装置。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の車両用冷却装置において、
前記第2モード制御部は、前記ラジエータと前記発熱部品との温度差が第3閾値を上回る場合に、前記第2動作モードを開始する、車両用冷却装置。
