Claims (4)
- 光線を発する光源と、
前記光源から発せられる光線を偏向すると共に、前記光線で被走査面上を主走査方向に走査させる偏向体と、
前記偏向された光線を前記被走査面上に結像させる走査レンズと、
前記光源が発する光線の光量を制御する制御部と、
予め求められた、前記走査レンズの像高と波面収差量との関係を示す収差特性を記憶する記憶部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記走査が行われる際に、前記収差特性に応じて前記光線の光量を制御するものであって、前記波面収差量が第1値である第1像高のポイントでは前記光量を所定の第1光量とし、前記波面収差量が前記第1値よりも大きい第2値である第2像高のポイントでは前記光量を前記第1光量よりも大きい第2光量とする制御を行い、
前記被走査面の像高Yにおける前記光量をI(Y)、前記波面収差量をη(Y)とするとき、前記波面収差量が最小となる像高Y 0 に対して、下記式(1)の関係が成り立つように前記光量I(Y)設定する、光走査装置。
- 請求項1に記載の光走査装置において、
前記走査レンズが、前記偏向体と前記被走査面との間に1枚のみ配置されている、光走査装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の光走査装置において、
前記走査レンズは、前記光線の波長をλとするとき、波面収差のPV値がλ/8以上の値を持つレンズである、光走査装置。 - 静電潜像を担持する像担持体と、
前記像担持体の周面を前記被走査面として光線を照射する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の光走査装置と、
を備える画像形成装置。
