Description
本発明者は、本発明を考案するに際し、表示パネルの反りに関する考察を行った。以下では、まず、表示パネルの反りについて説明し、その後、本発明の態様を説明する。
以下、実施の形態に係る表示パネルの製造方法および表示パネルについて、図面を参照しながら具体的に説明する。

Claims (10)
- 主面の一部に表示機能部が形成された第1基板を準備する工程と、
前記第1基板の前記主面上の前記表示機能部を囲む領域にシール材を形成する工程と、
前記第1基板の前記主面上の前記シール材の内側領域に、前記第1基板の前記主面の上方に前記シール材で囲まれてできる開放空間の容積よりも多くの量の樹脂を配置する工程と、
前記第1基板と第2基板とを前記シール材を介在して貼り合せ、前記第1基板、前記シール材、及び前記第2基板で囲まれる閉空間を前記配置された樹脂で充填する工程と、を含む
表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記樹脂を配置する工程において、前記開放空間の容積は、前記第1基板の前記主面の前記シール材で囲まれた領域の面積に前記シール材の高さを乗じた体積から、前記表示機能部の体積を引いた大きさである
請求項1に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記第1基板を準備する工程において、前記第1基板の前記主面上に、前記表示機能部として、複数のTFT及び複数の表示素子、又は複数のカラーフィルタを形成する
請求項1または請求項2に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - さらに、前記第1基板と前記第2基板とを貼り合せる工程の後に、前記第1基板又は前記第2基板を複数の保持部によって平面に保持する工程と、
前記第1基板又は前記第2基板が平面に保持されている状態で前記充填された樹脂を硬化させる工程と、を含む
請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記第1基板又は前記第2基板を平面に保持する工程において、
前記第1基板又は前記第2基板の中央部よりも周縁部をより多くの保持部で保持する
請求項1〜請求項4の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記樹脂を配置する工程において、前記配置される樹脂の量は、前記開放空間の容積の1倍よりも多くかつ6倍以下である
請求項1〜請求項5の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記樹脂を配置する工程において、前記樹脂を前記第1基板の前記主面上の前記シール材の内側領域に滴下することにより配置する
請求項1〜請求項6の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記樹脂を配置する工程において、前記第1基板の周縁部よりも中央部により多くの樹脂を配置する
請求項1〜請求項7の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - さらに、前記第2基板が載置された後に、前記第2基板を前記第1基板に対する所定の相対位置に固定する工程を含む
請求項1〜請求項8の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記シール材を形成する工程において、前記シール材の外周にもう1重のシール材を形成する
請求項1〜請求項9の何れか1項に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
