Claims (3)
- 1つ又は複数の気筒を有するエンジンに用いられ、1つの気筒毎に、該気筒内の燃焼室に吸気を流入させる2つの吸気ポートが形成されたシリンダヘッドと、上記吸気を過給する過給機とを備えた、エンジンの吸気装置であって、
上記気筒毎の上記2つの吸気ポートは、上記気筒の中心軸方向から見て、所定方向の一側から他側にある上記燃焼室に向かって延び、かつ、上記気筒の中心軸方向及び上記所定方向に垂直な方向から見て、上記所定方向の上記他側に向かって上記気筒の中心軸方向の上記燃焼室側に傾斜するように延びていて、上記シリンダヘッドの上記燃焼室に面する面における上記所定方向の上記一側の部分に開口し、
上記気筒毎の上記2つの吸気ポートのうち一方の吸気ポートは、他方の吸気ポートに比べて、吸気ポートのスロート部の径が小さく、かつ、上記一方の吸気ポートのみから吸気が上記燃焼室に流入したと仮定したときの該燃焼室における該吸気のタンブル流の強さが、上記他方の吸気ポートのみから吸気が上記燃焼室に流入したと仮定したときの該燃焼室における該吸気のタンブル流の強さよりも強くなるように形成されており、
上記気筒の中心軸方向及び上記所定方向に垂直な方向から見て、上記一方の吸気ポートのスロート部における、上記気筒の中心軸方向の反燃焼室側に位置する反燃焼室側壁面が、該一方の吸気ポートのスロート部における該反燃焼室側壁面の近傍を流れる吸気を、該一方の吸気ポートの吸気バルブシートのシール面における上記所定方向の上記他側の部分の径方向内側近傍に向かって略真っ直ぐに流すような形状をなし、
上記気筒の中心軸方向及び上記所定方向に垂直な方向から見て、上記一方の吸気ポートのスロート部における、上記気筒の中心軸方向の燃焼室側に位置する燃焼室側壁面には、該一方の吸気ポートのスロート部における該燃焼室側壁面の近傍を流れる吸気を、該一方の吸気ポートに設けられた吸気弁の中心軸線側へ指向させるエッジが形成されており、
上記エンジンの過給領域で上記過給機により過給された吸気が上記2つの吸気ポートから上記燃焼室に流入したときの該燃焼室内の吸気流動のタンブル比が所定値以上であることを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。 - 請求項1記載のエンジンの吸気装置において、
上記所定値は2であることを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。 - 請求項1又は2記載のエンジンの吸気装置において、
上記気筒毎の上記2つの吸気ポートは、当該気筒の中心軸を含みかつ上記所定方向に延びる平面の両側に位置し、
上記エンジンは、上記気筒毎に、
上記シリンダヘッドにおける上記気筒の中心軸上に配設された点火プラグと、
上記気筒内に嵌挿され、頂面における上記気筒の中心軸上に燃焼キャビティが形成されたピストンと、
上記燃焼室内に燃料を直接噴射する燃料噴射弁と、
を有していることを特徴とするエンジンの吸気装置。
