Description
SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、BET比表面積が400〜700m2/gであり、ミクロ孔比表面積が290〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm2/gであり、
紫外・可視分光法により得られるKM関数強度f(R∞)の波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きい、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを提供するものである。
SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、BET比表面積が400〜700m2/gであり、ミクロ孔比表面積が290〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm3/gであるMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを一酸化窒素又は一酸化窒素を含むガスと接触させて、一酸化窒素を該Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトに吸着させる一酸化窒素の除去方法であって、
前記M n+ 置換ベータ型ゼオライトが、紫外・可視分光法により得られるKM関数強度f(R∞)の波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きい、一酸化窒素の除去方法を提供するものである。

本発明者は、KM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルにより、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトにおける元素Mの状態を推測可能と考えている。そして、本発明のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトが300〜600nmの波長範囲において、200〜250nmの波長範囲の最大強度よりも大きいことは、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトにおいて凝集体として存在している元素Mが一定量以上であることを反映していると推測している。凝集体は、ゼオライト構造中の[AlO2]-サイトに入り込んでいない元素Mが凝集したものであるとみられ、例えばゼオライト表面上に存在すると考えられる。一般に、ベータ型ゼオライトによる一酸化窒素の吸着効率の観点からは、このような凝集体の形態で存在している元素Mの量は少ない方がよいと考えられる。しかしながら、本発明のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトは、前記の特性を有するにも関わらず、一酸化窒素の吸着効率が高いことを特徴とするものである。KM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルは、具体的には、後述の実施例で用いた方法により得ることができる。

これらの場合も種結晶のSiO2/Al2O3比や、反応混合物の組成が従来法と異なる。その上、これらの三通りの方法では、使用する種結晶として、本発明の方法によって得られた置換前ベータ型ゼオライトを用いている。すなわち、この三通りの製造方法では種結晶が繰り返し使用可能なので、本質的に有機SDAを使用しない。要するに、この三通りの製造方法は、環境負荷が究極的に小さいグリーンプロセスによるベータ型ゼオライトの製造方法ということができる。

リガク社製、粉末X線回折装置 Ultima IV、Cukα線使用、電圧40kV、電流40mA、スキャンステップ0.02°、スキャン速度2°/min
SiO2/Al2O3比:ベータ型ゼオライトを、フッ化水素(HF)を用いて溶解させ、溶解液を、ICPを用いて分析しAlを定量した。またベータ型ゼオライトを、水酸化カリウム(KOH)を用いて溶解させ、溶解液を、ICPを用いて分析しSiを定量した。定量したSi及びAlの量に基づきSiO2/Al2O3比を算出した。

紫外・可視分光法により得られるKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルの測定装置:
日立ハイテク製日立分光蛍光光度計F−7000
前記のKM関数強度f(R∞)は、以下のようにして得た。
石英セル(幅25mm×高さ40mm×厚み5mm)にMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを詰め、測定面積(直径φ20mm:3.14cm2)に紫外・可視領域(200〜800nm)の光を照射し、検出器を入射光と同じ波長になるように同期させながら測定することでサンプルからの拡散反射スペクトルを得た。得られた拡散反射スペクトルをブランクスペクトルで割り、拡散反射率比(r∞)を算出した後、Kubelka Munk式によりサンプルの吸収量を示すKM関数強度f(R∞)を得た。
水素消費量の測定装置:日本ベル社製BEL−CAT
前記の水素消費量は、以下のようにして測定した。
ヘリウムガス中で任意量のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを500℃で乾燥した後、水素/ヘリウム混合ガス中(水素:5容量%/ヘリウム:95容量%)で100℃において水素を吸着させた。次いで、室温から800℃まで10℃/分の昇温速度で試料を加熱し、水素脱離の挙動を熱伝導度検出器(TCD)により水素消費量(任意単位)として検出し、温度に対する水素消費量の変動曲線を求めた。
(1)置換前ベータ型ゼオライトの製造
純水14.54gに、アルミン酸ナトリウム0.477gと、36%水酸化ナトリウム0.822gと、水酸化リチウム一水塩0.141gとを溶解して水溶液を得た。微粉状シリカ2.017gと、SiO2/Al2O3比=24.0のベータ型ゼオライト種結晶0.202gを混合したものを、少しずつ前記の水溶液に添加して攪拌混合し、SiO2/Al2O3=20、Na2O/SiO2=0.175、Li2O/SiO2=0.05、H2O/SiO2=25の組成の反応混合物を得た。このベータ型ゼオライト種結晶は、SDAを用いて以下に述べる方法で得られたものである。この反応混合物を60ccのステンレス製密閉容器に入れて、80℃で16時間熟成した後、攪拌することなしに150℃で72時間、自生圧力下で静置加熱した。密閉容器を冷却後、生成物を濾過、温水洗浄して白色粉末を得た。この生成物のX線回折図を図2に示す。同図から判るように、この生成物はSDA等の不純物を含まないベータ型ゼオライトであった。このようにして得られた置換前ベータ型ゼオライトの物性値を表1に示す。
テトラエチルアンモニウムヒドロキシドをSDAとして用い、アルミン酸ナトリウムをアルミナ源、微粉状シリカ(Mizukasil P707)をシリカ源とする従来公知の方法により、165℃、96時間、攪拌加熱を行って、SiO2/Al2O3比が24.0のベータ型ゼオライトを合成した。これを電気炉中で空気を流通しながら550℃で10時間焼成して、有機物を含まない結晶を製造した。X線回折の結果から、この結晶はベータ型ゼオライトであることが確認された。この結晶を走査型電子顕微鏡により観察した結果、平均粒子径は280nmであった。このベータ型ゼオライトは、SDAを含まないものであった。
ポリプロピレン容器に、0.3mol/LのNi(NO3)2・6H2O水溶液30mlと置換前ベータ型ゼオライト2.00gを加え、室温で1日撹拌した。その後、沈殿物を吸引濾過し、蒸留水で洗浄後、乾燥させNi2+を1.01mmol/gを担持したNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを得た。Ni2+の担持量は、誘導結合プラズマ発光分光分析装置(ICP−AES、(株)バリアン製、LIBERTY SeriesII)を用いて求めた。得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのX線回折図を図3に示す。図3(Ni2+置換ベータ型ゼオライト)と図2(置換前ベータ型ゼオライト)とを対比すると、ピーク位置及びピーク強度がほぼ変わらないので、イオン交換後もベータ型ゼオライトの構造を維持していることが確認された。また、得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルを図4に示す。図4に示すように、このKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルは、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きかった。具体的には、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度は0.0128、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度は0.0345であった。更に、得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの水素消費量の変動曲線を図5に示す。図5に示すように、Ni2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの水素消費量は、330〜350℃付近にピークを有している。
Ni2+置換ベータ型ゼオライト20mgを電子天秤で正確に秤量した後、希釈剤としてシリコンカーバイトを180mg用いて、両者を均等になるように混合した。混合物を、内径6mmの石英ガラス管に詰めた。混合中の吸着水をマントルヒーターで加温して除去した後、室温まで冷却した。次に、石英ガラス管内に2分おきに1030ppmの一酸化窒素ガスを、室温で、5cm3パルスした。吸着されずに石英ガラス管から出てきた一酸化窒素ガスの量を、熱伝導度型ガスクロマトグラフ(GC−TCD、島津製作所製、GC−8A)のピーク面積及び化学発光式NO分析装置(NOx analyzer、柳本製作所製、ECL−77A)で検出される値から算出した。熱伝導度型ガスクロマトグラフ(GC−TCD)の測定条件は、以下に示すとおりである。そして、算出した値を、一酸化窒素ガスの供給量から差し引くことで、単位質量あたりのNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトに吸着した一酸化窒素ガスの量(mmol/g)を求めた。その結果を以下の表1に示す。

実施例1の(2)において、Ni(NO3)2・6H2O水溶液の代わりに0.3mol/LのCo(NO3)2・6H2O水溶液30mlを加える以外は実施例1と同様にして、Co2+を0.98mmol/gの担持したCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを得た。得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのX線回折図は図6に示すとおりである。また、得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルを図7に示す。図7に示すように、このKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルは、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きかった。具体的には、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度は0.0256、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度は0.0498であった。また、得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトについて実施例1と同様の評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
置換前ベータ型ゼオライトとして東ソー(株)製のH+型ベータ型ゼオライト(型番HSZ−940HOA、SDAを用いて合成、SiO2/Al2O3=35)をNa型に置換したものを用いた。これ以外は実施例1と同様にしてNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを得た。得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのX線回折図を図8に示す。得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトについて、実施例1と同様にして一酸化窒素ガス吸着の評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
置換前ベータ型ゼオライトとして、実施例1で使用したベータ型ゼオライト種結晶を用いた。これ以外は実施例2と同様にしてCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを得た。得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのX線回折図を図9に示す。また、得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルを図10に示す。図10に示すように、このKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルは、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも小さかった。具体的には、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度は0.0544、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度は0.0127であった。更に、得られたCo2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトについて、実施例1と同様にして一酸化窒素ガス吸着の評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
置換前ベータ型ゼオライトとして、実施例1で使用したベータ型ゼオライト種結晶を用いた。これ以外は実施例1と同様にしてNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを得た。得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトのKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルを図11に示す。図11に示すように、このKM関数強度f(R∞)のスペクトルは、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも小さかった。具体的には、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度は0.0323、波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度は0.0145であった。また、得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの水素消費量の変動曲線を図12に示す。図12に示すように、Ni2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの水素消費量は、実施例1で得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの水素消費量よりも高温側である約520℃にピークを有している。更に、得られたNi2+置換ベータ型ゼオライトについて、実施例1と同様にして一酸化窒素ガス吸着の評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
Claims (9)
- Mn+イオン(Mn+はNi 2+ 及びCo 2+ から選択される金属カチオンを表す)によってイオン交換されたMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトであって、
SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、BET比表面積が400〜700m2/gであり、ミクロ孔比表面積が290〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm2/gであり、
紫外・可視分光法により得られるKM関数強度f(R∞)の波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きい、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライト。 - Mn+イオンの担持量が、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトに対して0.01〜2.5mmol/gである請求項1に記載のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライト。
- Mn+イオンによってイオン交換される前のベータ型ゼオライトとして、SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、ナトリウム型の状態で測定されたBET比表面積が400〜700m2/gでありミクロ孔比表面積が250〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm2/gであるものを用いた請求項1又は2に記載のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライト。

- 5容量%の水素及び95容量%のヘリウムからなる混合雰囲気下において、10℃/分の速度で昇温させたときの水素消費量が、400℃以下にピークを有する、請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライト。
- 請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載のMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを含むガス吸着剤。
- 一酸化窒素の吸着に用いられる請求項6に記載のガス吸着剤。
- 請求項1に記載のM n+ 置換ベータ型ゼオライトの製造方法であって、SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、ナトリウム型の状態で測定されたBET比表面積が400〜700m2/gであり、ミクロ孔比表面積が250〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm3/gであるベータ型ゼオライトを、Ni又はCoの水溶性化合物水溶液中に分散し、混合撹拌することで、該ベータ型ゼオライトにMn+イオン(Mn+はNi 2+ 及びCo 2+ から選択される金属カチオンを表す)を担持させる工程を有する、Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトの製造方法。
- Mn+イオン(Mn+はNi 2+ 及びCo 2+ から選択される金属カチオンを表す)によってイオン交換されており、
SiO2/Al2O3比が7〜18であり、BET比表面積が400〜700m2/gであり、ミクロ孔比表面積が290〜500m2/gであり、かつミクロ孔容積が0.15〜0.25cm3/gであるMn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトを一酸化窒素又は一酸化窒素を含むガスと接触させて、一酸化窒素を該Mn+置換ベータ型ゼオライトに吸着させる一酸化窒素の除去方法であって、
前記M n+ 置換ベータ型ゼオライトが、紫外・可視分光法により得られるKM関数強度f(R∞)の波長300〜600nmにおける最大強度が、波長200〜250nmにおける最大強度よりも大きい、一酸化窒素の除去方法。
