Description
Claims (8)
- 周方向に閉じられたジャケット(5)と二つの端面ファネル(6)とを組み付けたハウジング(4)内に、少なくとも一つの排気ガス後処理用モノリス(8)を備える排気ガス後処理装置(2)の製造方法であって、
(A)前記少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)を、該少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)を前記周方向に包む少なくとも一つのベアリングマット(9)と共に前記ジャケット(5)に軸方向に挿入し、
前記ファネル(6)の軸方向接続部(10)であって、前記それぞれの接続部(10)と前記ベアリングマット(9)の軸方向端部(25)とが軸方向に重なり合うように前記ジャケット(5)の断面形状と相補形に形成された軸方向接続部(10)をそれぞれ前記ジャケット(5)に挿入するか前記ジャケット(5)に外嵌することにより、前記ハウジング(4)を組み立てて装填する工程と、
(B)前記ジャケット(5)内において一方の前記接続部(10)の前記軸方向における端部から他方の前記接続部(10)の前記軸方向における端部まで延びるベアリング部分(16)を含み、前記少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)を前記ジャケット(5)内に保持するための所定の径方向の予圧を前記少なくとも一つのベアリングマット(9)に発生させるために、前記ジャケット(5)を前記ファネル(6)の前記接続部(10)と共に、前記ベアリングマット(9)を内包した状態で、初期断面形状(13)から最終断面形状(15)にまで縮小させることにより、前記ハウジングのキャリブレーションを行う工程と、を含み、
前記ベアリング部分(16)における前記断面形状の縮小度合いを、前記接続部(10)よりも該接続部(10)の肉厚(17)分だけ大きくするキャリブレーションを行って、前記接続部(10)に結合される前記ジャケット(5)の前記端部(11)に段部(22)を形成することで、当該キャリブレーション後の前記ベアリングマット(9)の厚さを、前記ベアリング部分16に対応する部分と、前記接続部(10)との重複部(14)に対応する部分とで同じ幅として、前記ジャケット(5)の断面外形を前記ベアリング部分(16)の前記軸方向全長にわたって同一とする製造方法。 - 前記キャリブレーションを、キャリブレーション治具(19)を用いて行い、該キャリブレーション治具(19)は、前記ジャケット(5)の断面形状を縮小する圧力を加えるために前記ジャケット(5)の前記断面外形の相補形に形成された押圧面(20)を含むとともに、前記接続部(10)に対応する部分には、前記接続部(10)の径方向の肉厚(17)と同一高さに形成された段部(21)を含み、当該段部(21)により前記段部(22)を形成する請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 前記ファネル(6)を、組み立て後かつキャリブレーション前に、前記ジャケット(5)に固定する請求項1又は請求項2に記載の製造方法。
- キャリブレーション後に、前記ファネル(6)を少なくとも一本の周方向に閉じる溶接線(24)によって前記ジャケット(5)に固定する請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 前記ハウジング(4)の組み立て前に、前記キャリブレーションに必要なパラメータを決定するために前記少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)および/または前記少なくとも一つのベアリングマット(9)の測定を行い、前記決定されたパラメータに基づいて前記キャリブレーションを行う請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 内燃機関の排気系(1)用の排気ガス後処理装置であって、
周方向に閉じられたジャケット(5)と、該ジャケット(5)の端部にそれぞれ取り付けられた二つのファネル(6)とを含むハウジング(4)と、
少なくとも一つのベアリングマット(9)は、前記周方向に包まれ前記ジャケット(5)内に配置された、排気ガス後処理用の少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)と、を備え、
前記それぞれのファネル(6)は軸方向接続部(10)によって、前記ベアリングマット(9)と前記それぞれの接続部(10)が軸方向に重なり合うように前記ジャケット(5)に挿入されるか前記ジャケット(5)に外嵌されており、
前記ジャケット(5)と、前記外嵌または挿入された接続部(10)とが、前記少なくとも一つのモノリス(8)を前記ジャケット(5)内に保持するための所定の径方向の予圧が前記少なくとも一つのベアリングマット(9)に発生する状態で前記ベアリングマット(9)を内包し、前記ジャケット(5)及び前記接続部(10)が、径方向に遊びが無い状態で互いに結合され、
前記ハウジング(4)が、前記ジャケット(5)における前記接続部(10)が前記ベアリングマット(9)に重なっている軸方向端部(11)の少なくとも一方に形成された段部(22)を含み、前記ベアリングマット(9)の厚さが、前記ベアリング部分16に対応する部分と、前記接続部(10)との重複部(14)に対応する部分とで同じ幅とされ、前記軸方向の全長にわたって同一である排気ガス後処理装置。 - 前記ジャケット(5)と前記接続部(10)とにより相互に前記径方向の予圧が前記ベアリングマット(9)に付加される状態で、前記ジャケット(5)及び前記接続部(10)が結合されている請求項6に記載の排気ガス後処理装置。
- 前記排気ガス後処理装置(2)の前記ハウジング(4)の前記キャリブレーションを行うキャリブレーション治具であって、
前記ジャケット(5)の断面形状を縮小する圧力を加えるために前記ジャケット(5)の前記断面外形の相補形に形成された押圧面(20)を含むとともに、前記接続部(10)に対応する部分に形成された段部(21)を含む、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載の製造方法に用いるキャリブレーション治具。
