Description
本発明のガラス繊維集束剤は、ポリアミド樹脂と化学的(分子間力、イオン結合等)及び物理的(分子鎖どうしの絡み合い等)に結合しやすい、不飽和ジカルボン酸及び/又はカルボン酸無水物、アクリル酸メチル、及びメタクリル酸メチルが共重合した共重合化合物、ガラス繊維の表面と有機化合物と結び易くする作用を有するアミノシラン、ガラス繊維とポリアミド樹脂との結合作用を有するポリウレタン樹脂を含有する。そのため、このガラス繊維集束剤を用いたガラス繊維をポリアミド樹脂の補強材として用いた場合に、機械的強度の高いガラス繊維強化ポリアミド樹脂を得ることができる。
本発明のガラス繊維は、上記に記載のガラス繊維集束剤が塗布されてなり、強熱減量が0.1〜1.5質量%であることを特徴とする。
本発明のガラス繊維強化ポリアミド樹脂は、上記に記載のガラス繊維とポリアミド樹脂とからなることを特徴とする。
(実施例)
以下に、実施例にかかる測定試料を作製方法について説明する。
試料No.1の試料は以下の手順により作製した。
最初に、Eガラスのガラス組成となるように秤量、調合した各種のガラス原料を加熱溶融し、溶融ガラスを、白金製のブッシングに形成された多数の耐熱性ノズルから引き出して平均直径が10.5μmのガラス繊維モノフィラメントを作製し、後述するガラス繊維集束剤を、強熱減量が1.0質量%となるようにアプリケーターで塗布し、6000本のガラス繊維モノフィラメントを1本に集束させることで、強熱減量が0.45質量%のガラス繊維ストランドを得た。
以下に、比較例にかかる測定試料を作製方法について説明する。
作製した引張試験片を用いて、ASTM D638に従い引張強度を測定した。また耐湿熱性に関する評価を行うため、130℃で加温保持したラジエータークーラント(LLC(ロングライフクーラント))に引張試験片を500時間浸漬保持した後、当該試料の引張強度を、ASTM D638に従い測定した。
Claims (5)
- 不飽和ジカルボン酸及び/又はカルボン酸無水物20〜60質量%、アクリル酸メチル20〜75質量%、及びメタクリル酸メチル5〜20質量%が共重合してなる共重合化合物と、アミノシランと、ポリウレタン樹脂とを含有するガラス繊維集束剤であって、
前記共重合化合物の重量平均分子量が10000〜60000であるガラス繊維集束剤。 - 前記共重合化合物を0.5〜10.0質量%、前記アミノシランを0.3〜2.0質量%、前記ポリウレタン樹脂を0.5%〜5.0質量%含有してなる請求項1に記載のガラス繊維集束剤。
- 請求項1または2に記載のガラス繊維集束剤が塗布されてなり、
強熱減量が0.1〜1.5質量%であるガラス繊維。 - 3〜50μmの平均直径を有する請求項3に記載のガラス繊維。
- 請求項3または4のガラス繊維と、ポリアミド樹脂とからなるガラス繊維強化ポリアミド樹脂。
