Description
[リード導体]
実施形態のリード導体は、電力貯蔵デバイスの容器内に収納された電極と、外部の部材とを電気的に接続する導電部材であり、種々の平面形状の金属板で構成される。代表的には、長方形状の金属板で構成される。
リード導体の表面の少なくとも一部、好ましくは表裏の両面の少なくとも固定領域には、後述の表面処理が施されていると、表面処理が施されていない場合に比較して、固定領域と上述の樹脂との密着性を高められて好ましい。樹脂との密着性に優れるリード導体を備える電力貯蔵デバイスは、容器の封止状態を良好に維持できるため、電解液が容器の外部に漏れたり、容器内部に外部からの水分が浸入したりするなどの不具合を防止できる。表面処理は、リード導体の表面における固定領域にのみ施されていてもよいし、リード導体の表裏面全体のみに施されていてもよいし(この場合、上記表裏面を繋ぐ端面・側面には表面処理が施されていない)、リード導体の外面全体(表裏面、及び表裏面を繋ぐ端面・側面の全て)に施されていてもよい。
リード導体における容器との固定領域に、絶縁体となる介在樹脂層を備えた樹脂付きリード部材とすることができる。この介在樹脂層の材質は、代表的には、熱可塑性ポリオレフィンが挙げられる。具体的には、ポリエチレン、酸変性ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体、酸変性ポリプロピレン(例えば無水マレイン酸変性ポリプロピレン)、アイオノマーなどのイオン性高分子、マレイン酸変性ポリオレフィン(例えば、マレイン酸変性低密度ポリエチレン)、又はこれらの混合物が挙げられる。上記アイオノマーは、エチレンとメタクリル酸などの共重合体をNa,Mg,K,Ca,Zrなどの金属イオン、又は金属錯体、又はアンモニウム塩などのカチオンなどで架橋させたものが挙げられる。
リード導体は、代表的には、鋳造→熱間圧延→冷間圧延→熱処理(→適宜、上述の表面処理)という工程で製造できる。熱間圧延までの工程は、公知のリード導体の製造条件を利用することができる。特に、実施形態のリード導体は、冷間圧延後に、引張強さが245MPa以上450MPa以下を満たす範囲で破断伸びが40%以上となるように熱処理を施すことで製造することができる。破断伸びが40%以上を満たせば、熱処理後に更に冷間加工(冷間圧延)を行うことができる。熱処理後、適宜表面処理を行った後、上述の介在樹脂層を接合することで、樹脂付きリード部材を製造できる。
実施形態の電力貯蔵デバイスは、代表的には、正極と、負極と、電解液と、これらを収納する容器と、正極と外部の部材とを電気的に接続する導電部材及び負極と外部の部材とを電気的に接続する導電部材として、2つのリード導体(正極用タブ、負極用タブ)とを備える。そして、実施形態の電力貯蔵デバイスは、2つのリード導体のうち、1つ又は2つが上述の実施形態のリード導体(樹脂付きリード部材の場合もある)である。各リード導体は、上記容器の内部から外部に亘って配置されて、一端側に正極又は負極が接続され、他端側に外部の部材が接続され、中間部に容器との固定領域を備える。リード導体の固定領域と容器との間には、リード導体に接合された介在樹脂層、又は容器の内周縁に接合された介在樹脂層、又は容器の内側面自体を構成する樹脂(上述の樹脂層)のいずれかの樹脂が介在する。実施形態の電力貯蔵デバイスのより具体的な形態は、非水電解液を用いる非水電解質電池や電気二重層キャパシタ、電解液の主溶媒を水とする水系電解質電池が挙げられる。非水電解質電池や電気二重層キャパシタ、水系電解質電池の基本的な構成は、公知のものを利用することができる。
種々の組成の金属板を作製して、機械的特性を測定した。
試験例1で作製した試料No.1〜No.8のCu−Zn合金板、及び用意した試料No.101〜No.103の金属板のそれぞれについて、屈曲試験と衝撃試験とを行い、特性を調べた。また、上記の試料No.1〜No.8,No.101〜No.103の金属板にそれぞれ、表2に示す表面処理を施してから又は表面処理を行わず、樹脂を接合して樹脂付きリード部材を模擬した試料を作製し、樹脂の接合状態を調べた。更に、上記の試料No.1〜No.8,No.101〜No.103の金属板について、電解液に浸漬した後の構成元素の溶出状態を調べた。

Claims (5)
- 正極と、負極と、電解液と、これらを収納する容器とを備える電力貯蔵デバイスに用いられるリード導体であって、
前記電力貯蔵デバイスは、非水電解質電池、又は電気二重層キャパシタ、又は水系電解質電池であり、
Znを15質量%以上35質量%以下含有し、残部がCu及び不可避不純物から構成され、
引張強さが245MPa以上450MPa以下であり、
破断伸びが40%以上であるリード導体。 - 前記リード導体の表面の少なくとも一部に、ポリアクリル酸とポリアクリル酸アミドとを含む樹脂成分と金属塩とを含む複合材料からなる複合層、めっき層、及び化成層から選択される1種の表面層を備える請求項1に記載のリード導体。
- 前記リード導体における前記容器との固定領域に介在樹脂層が接合されており、
前記介在樹脂層の厚さが20μm以上300μm以下である請求項1又は請求項2に記載のリード導体。 - 前記介在樹脂層は、異種の材質からなる多層構造である請求項3に記載のリード導体。
- 正極と、負極と、電解液と、これらを収納する容器とを備える電力貯蔵デバイスであって、
前記電力貯蔵デバイスは、非水電解質電池、又は電気二重層キャパシタ、又は水系電解質電池であり、
請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のリード導体を備える電力貯蔵デバイス。
