Claims (14)
- 3Dディスプレイ装置において、
多視点映像を出力するディスプレイパネル部と、
前記ディスプレイパネル部の一側に配置されるバリア部と、
前記バリア部において、光透過領域および光遮断領域が交互に形成されるように制御する制御部と
を含み、
前記バリア部は、
液晶層と、
相互に離隔しており、前記液晶層の上部面に連続して配置される複数の上部電極と、
相互に離隔しており、前記液晶層の下部面に連続して配置される複数の下部電極と
を含み、
前記複数の上部電極の各々と前記複数の下部電極の各々は、前記液晶層を隔てて一定領域が互いに重畳されるように配置され、
前記各々の下部電極の幅方向の一端側の領域の少なくとも一部が、前記複数の上部電極のうち一つの上部電極と重畳し、前記幅方向の他端側の領域の少なくとも一部が、前記一つの上部電極の隣りに位置する別の上部電極と重畳する構造である、
ことを特徴とする3Dディスプレイ装置。 - ユーザを撮像する撮像部と、
前記撮像部で撮像されたデータを用いて、前記ユーザの位置を検知する位置検知部と
を更に含み、
前記制御部は、
前記位置検知部で検知されるユーザの位置が移動されると、移動方向に沿って前記光透過領域の位置がシフトされるように、前記複数の上部電極と前記複数の下部電極とを順次に駆動させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記バリア部は、
前記複数の上部電極の一側に形成され、前記複数の上部電極の中で奇数番目の上部電極を電気的に相互接続する第1上部電極接続部と、
前記複数の上部電極の他側に形成され、前記複数の上部電極の中で偶数番目の上部電極を電気的に相互接続する第2上部電極接続部と、
前記複数の下部電極の一側に形成され、前記複数の下部電極の中で奇数番目の下部電極を電気的に相互接続する第1下部電極接続部と、
前記複数の下部電極の他側に形成され、前記複数の下部電極の中で偶数番目の下部電極を電気的に相互接続する第2下部電極接続部と
を更に含み、
前記制御部は、
前記第1上部電極接続部と、前記第2上部電極接続部と、前記第1下部電極接続部および前記第2下部電極接続部のうち、何れか一つに駆動信号を供給しながら、残りの電極接続部を接地させる動作を順次に行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 3Dディスプレイ装置において、
多視点映像を出力するディスプレイパネル部と、
前記ディスプレイパネル部の一側に配置されるバリア部と、
前記バリア部において、光透過領域および光遮断領域が交互に形成されるように制御する制御部と
を含み、
前記バリア部は、
液晶層と、
相互に離隔しており、前記液晶層の上部面に連続して配置される複数の上部電極と、
相互に離隔しており、前記液晶層の下部面に連続して配置される複数の下部電極と
を含み、
前記複数の上部電極は、
繰り返し配置される上部共通電極と、
前記上部共通電極の間に交互に配置される第1上部電極および第2上部電極と
を含み、
前記複数の下部電極は、
繰り返し配置される下部共通電極と、
前記下部共通電極の間に交互に配置される第1下部電極および第2下部電極と
を含み、
前記上部共通電極および前記下部共通電極は、前記液晶層を隔てて互いに重畳されないように異なる位置に配置され、
前記第1上部電極および前記第2上部電極は、前記液晶層を隔てて前記下部共通電極と対向する位置に配置され、
前記第1下部電極および前記第2下部電極は、前記液晶層を隔てて前記上部共通電極と対向する位置に配置される、
ことを特徴とする3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記第1上部電極と、前記第2上部電極と、前記第1下部電極および前記第2下部電極のうち、何れか一つに駆動信号を供給しつつ、残りの電極、上部共通電極および下部共通電極を接地させる動作を繰り返し行い、ユーザの位置に応じて前記液晶層の光透過領域の位置をシフトさせることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記バリア部は、
前記液晶層の上部面において、前記第1上部電極を電気的に接続する第1上部電極接続部と、
前記液晶層の上部面において、前記第2上部電極を電気的に接続する第2上部電極接続部と、
前記液晶層の下部面において、前記第1下部電極を電気的に接続する第1下部電極接続部と、
前記液晶層の下部面において、前記第2下部電極を電気的に接続する第2下部電極接続部と
を更に含み、
前記上部共通電極は、前記第1上部電極および前記第2上部電極の間でメアンダ(meander)形状に相互接続され、
前記下部共通電極は、前記第1下部電極および前記第2下部電極の間でメアンダ形状に相互接続されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記多視点映像は、
縦列方向に延在する左眼映像および右眼映像が第1順番で交互に配置された第1フレームと、縦列方向に延在する前記左眼映像および前記右眼映像が第2順番で交互に配置された第2フレームとを含み、
前記ディスプレイパネル部は、
前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームを順次にディスプレイし、
前記制御部は、
前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームのディスプレイタイミングに連動して、前記光透過領域および前記光遮断領域をスイッチングさせることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - ユーザを撮像する撮像部と、
前記撮像部で撮像されたデータを用いて、前記ユーザの位置を検知する位置検知部と
を更に含み、
前記制御部は、
前記位置検知部によって前記ユーザの位置移動が検知されると、正像視域から逆像視域に移動する時点で、前記バリア部の光透過領域および光遮断領域の位置を反転させることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記位置検知部によって前記ユーザの位置移動が検知されると、前記複数の上部電極および前記複数の下部電極のうち、駆動される電極に印加される駆動信号の入力タイミングを前記ユーザの移動速度に応じて漸進的にディレイさせ、前記バリア部の駆動周期を半周期シフトさせることを特徴とする請求項8記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記光透過領域の大きさを増大させることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記左眼映像のピクセルを構成する複数のサブピクセルと前記右眼映像のピクセルを構成する複数のサブピクセルとを組み合わせて、前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームを構成するフレーム処理部を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。
- 前記フレーム処理部は、
前記左眼映像のピクセルを構成するR、G、Bサブピクセルと、前記右眼映像のピクセルを構成するr、g、bサブピクセルとを、各々前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームに分散させて新たなピクセルに組み合わせて、前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームを構成することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記ディスプレイパネル部を垂直ライン別にグルーピングし、各々互いに異なる極性の駆動信号を印加する垂直ラインインバージョンを行うことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記ディスプレイパネル部に対して、フレームインバージョンと、垂直ラインインバージョンと、水平ラインインバージョンおよびドットインバージョンのうち、何れか一つのインバージョンを、少なくとも一つのフレーム単位周期で行うことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の3Dディスプレイ装置。
