Description
Claims (18)
- 自動車の前端部に搭載され、歩行者衝突などの低エネルギー衝突を検出し、衝突対策を実施するための低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリであって、
前記自動車の前面幅方向の両端に設けられたハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に位置し、前記自動車に対して所定の向きに方向づけされた少なくとも1本の感知軸を有しており、自身の加速によって前記衝突を検出するよう作用する加速度センサと、
前記ハウジングに取り付けられ、前記自動車の部品の圧縮によって前記衝突を検出するよう作用する圧縮センサとを備え、
前記圧縮センサが、車両幅方向に延びる変形可能な圧力管を含み、
前記加速度センサ、圧縮センサ及びハウジングを含むハウジングアセンブリが形成され、
前記圧縮センサと前記加速度センサとが共に作用して前記衝突を検出する、低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。 - 前記圧縮センサが、気体の密閉容積と連通する圧力センサの形であり、前記密閉容積が前記衝突時の圧縮によって減少したときに前記圧力センサが前記衝突を検出する、請求項1に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記一対のハウジングアセンブリの一方が、前記車両の前端部において、前記前端部の左側の前面境界領域に取り付けられ、前記一対のハウジングアセンブリの他方が、前記前端部の右側の前面境界領域に取り付けられている、請求項1又は2に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサ。
- 前記ハウジングアセンブリと前記圧力管とが、前記前端部の少なくとも一部を覆うフェイシアの背後に取り付けられている、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記圧力管が、前記フェイシアとバンパビームとの間に取り付けられている、請求項4に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1本の感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸と平行な方向に方向づけされている、請求項1乃至5の何れか1項に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1本の感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸に対して斜めの方向に方向づけされている、請求項1乃至6の何れか1項に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1本の感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸に対して垂直の方向に方向づけされている、請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記圧縮センサが、内部にプリント回路基板が搭載された中空本体を形成する前記ハウジングに取り付けられ、前記加速度センサが前記プリント回路基板の一表面に搭載され、前記圧縮センサが前記プリント回路基板の反対側の表面に搭載されている、請求項3に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記圧力管を前記圧縮センサと連通させる内部容積を形成し、前記圧力管の圧縮が前記圧縮センサに作用する圧力を発生させる、請求項1乃至9の何れか1項に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記圧縮センサおよび前記加速度センサのうちの少なくとも一方から信号を受信し、前記圧縮センサからの圧力信号および前記加速度センサからの加速度信号のうちの少なくとも一方に基づいて前記対策を実施する拘束システム制御装置をさらに備える、請求項1乃至10の何れか1項に記載の衝突センサアセンブリを有する低エネルギー衝突センサシステム。
- 前記密閉容積が、クロスビームに沿った方向に延びる圧力管によって形成されている、請求項2に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサシステム。
- 前記密閉容積が、前記車両の前面フェイシアと前記クロスビームとの間に配置されたエネルギー吸収部材によって画成されている、請求項12に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサシステム。
- 少なくとも一対の前記加速度センサが、前記前面フェイシアに取り付けられているか、または隣接している、請求項4又は5に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサシステム。
- 前記クロスビームに取り付けられた加速度センサをさらに備える、請求項12に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサシステム。
- 前記感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸と平行な方向に方向づけされている、請求項10に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸に対して斜めの方向に方向づけされている、請求項10に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
- 前記感知軸の方向が、前記自動車の長手軸に対して垂直の方向に方向づけされている、請求項10に記載の低エネルギー衝突センサアセンブリ。
