Description
Claims (7)
- 自動車排ガス浄化装置(4)内に設けられる排ガス通流方向(11)で見て高温活性の第1の部分(7)とその下流の低温活性の第2の部分(8)とを有する2分割されたSCR触媒コンバータ(7、8)の上流に配置される、ハニカム体構造の支持体を有する、自動車排ガス浄化装置(4)の触媒コンバータ部品(1)であり、前記支持体は、長手方向に延在しているチャンネルを備え、該チャンネルを排ガスは前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)の流入側端部(2)から前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)の流出側端部(3)まで自由に通流することができ、触媒作用を有するコーティングがチャンネル壁に連続して付与されており、前記コーティングは白金族の少なくとも1つの元素によって決定される貴金属含有量(PGM)を有し、
第1のコーティングゾーンが設けられており、該第1のコーティングゾーンは、長手方向に、ほぼ前記流入側端部(2)から、該流入側端部(2)と前記流出側端部(3)との間の領域に配置された第1のコーティング境界(G1)まで延在し、かつ第1の貴金属含有量を有し、
第2のコーティングゾーンが設けられており、該第2のコーティングゾーンは、長手方向に、ほぼ前記第1のコーティング境界(G1)から、前記流入側端部(2)と前記流出側端部(3)との間の領域において前記第1のコーティング境界(G1)の下流に配置された第2のコーティング境界(G2)まで延在し、かつ前記第1の貴金属含有量に比べて低い第2の貴金属含有量を有し、
第3のコーティングゾーンが設けられており、該第3のコーティングゾーンは、長手方向に、ほぼ前記第2のコーティング境界(G2)から前記流出側端部(3)まで延在し、かつ前記第2の貴金属含有量に比べて低い第3の貴金属含有量を有する、触媒コンバータ部品であって、
前記コーティングは、
酸化触媒作用を有するコーティングとして連続して構成されており、
ロジウムを含まない、
こと、および
前記第1のコーティングゾーンの第1のコーティングは、前記第2のコーティングゾーンの第2のコーティングよりも少なくとも2倍高い貴金属含有量を有し、さらに前記第2のコーティングゾーンの第2のコーティングは、前記第3のコーティングゾーンに対して設けられた第3のコーティングよりも少なくとも2倍高い貴金属含有量を有することを特徴とする触媒コンバータ部品。 - 前記第1と第2のコーティングゾーンの長手方向の範囲は、前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)の長手方向の範囲全体のそれぞれ10%から40%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の触媒コンバータ部品。
- 前記コーティングの前記貴金属含有量(PGM)が、プラチナおよびパラジウムの元素によって決定され、前記貴金属含有量は、前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)の全体積に対して12g/ft3から100g/ft3であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の触媒コンバータ部品。
- 前記貴金属のプラチナおよびパラジウムは、1:5から5:1の質量比で前記コーティングに設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の触媒コンバータ部品。
- 前記第1のコーティングゾーンにおける前記貴金属含有量が60g/ft3から150g/ft3であり、前記第2のコーティングゾーンにおいては20g/ft3から60g/ft3であり、前記第3のコーティングゾーンにおいては5g/ft3から15g/ft3であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の触媒コンバータ部品。
- 自動車排ガス浄化装置(4)内に配置された粒子フィルタ(6)と、該粒子フィルタ(6)の下流に接続されたSCR触媒コンバータ(7、8)との直列構成体の上流に配置された請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の触媒コンバータ部品(1)の使用方法であって、前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)において排ガスを炭化水素の酸化によって加熱する工程を有する、使用方法。
- 前記炭化水素が、前記触媒コンバータ部品(1)の上流で添加される少なくとも主としてディーゼル燃料として存在することを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の触媒コンバータ部品の使用方法。
