Description
・ 炭素前躯体繊維、典型的には予備酸化されたポリアクリロニトリル(PAN)繊維、から環状プリフォームを製造する;
・ 炭素前躯体を変化させ、炭素繊維から製造され、コンポジット材料の繊維強化を形成するように意図された、環状プリフォームを得るように、炭化熱処理に供する;ならびに
・ 炭素マトリックスで炭素繊維プリフォームを緻密化する。
・ 二次元繊維織物(fiber texture)のプライを重ね、その重ねられたプライを一緒に結合し、そして繊維構造から環状プリフォームを切り出すことにより、厚い繊維構造を形成し、その二次元繊維織物は、たとえば一方向性(UD)繊維シートを重ね、そのUDシートを、たとえば軽いニードリングにより、一緒に結合する、ことにより得られる、多方向性(nD)繊維シートである;
・ 二次元繊維織物、たとえばnD繊維シート、から、環状プライまたは中空でない(solid)ディスクの形状のプライを切り出し、ついで環状繊維プライを重ねて、重ねられたプライを一緒に結合して、その結果、環状繊維プリフォームを直接に得、またはディスク形状繊維プリフォームを得、それより中央部分切り出され、環状プリフォームを得る;または、重ねられたプライ環状繊維プリフォームを形成するために、らせん状のあみひも(braid)または織物の平らな折り返し(flat turns)を巻き(wind)、そしてそのプライを一緒に結合する。
・ 二次元繊維織物のプライを重ねること、そしてこれらのプライをニードリングにより結合することにより厚い繊維構造を形成すること、ここでその繊維構造は、たとえばnDシートであり、ならびにその繊維構造から環状プリフォームを切り出すこと;
・ 二次元織物から環状プリフォームを切り出すこと、そしてプライを重ね、ニードリングによりプライを結合してプリフォームを形成すること;または
・重ねられた環状プライを形成するために、らせん状織物またはらせん状あみひもの平らな折り返しを巻くこと、そしてそのプライをニードリングにより一緒に結合すること。
プライ相互の結合を与える。30ストローク/cm2以上で90ストローク/cm2以下のニードリング密度が好適である。
C/Cコンポジット材料ブレーキディスクが、次の特定条件下に、図1に関して述べられる種類の方法により製造された:
・ 環状プリフォームが、予備酸化PAN繊維の三次元(3D)シートにより構成されるプライを重ね、ニードリングでプライを一緒に結合することにより得られた繊維構造から切り出されて製造された。
3Dシートは、互いに60度の角度をなすUDシートを重ね、軽いニードリングでUDシートを一緒に結合することにより製造された。プライは、文献US5,792,715に記載される方法を用いて、プリフォームの厚さによって実質的は、次の定であるZ方向の繊維密度を得るように、一緒にニードリングされた。Z方向の繊維含量は約3%であった(すなわち、プリフォームの見かけ容積の3%はZ繊維で占められた。)。
・ 炭素繊維を得るために約900℃の温度で、予備酸化PAN繊維プリフォームを炭化すること。
・ 不活性ガス(窒素)下に、炭素繊維プリフォームの高温熱処理(HTT)。プリフォームの第1ファミリーは1600℃、第2ファミリーは1900℃、そして第3ファミリーは2200℃、で処理された。
・ メタンとプロパンの混合物により構成されるガスを用いて、通常のCVIプロセスによる緻密化。緻密化パラメータは、RL-PyCマトリックスが得られるように選定された。
・ 異なる選定温度での緻密化後に得られたC/Cコンポジット材料ディスクの最終熱処理。最終熱処理後に、ディスクは次の操作サイクルを再現したブレーキング試験を適用することにより、同一の摩耗試験に供された:
・ 駐車ポイントと離陸の間にいくつかのブレーキング操作を伴う、冷間陸上走行;
・ 飛行;
・ 着陸の間にブレーキング(ディスクを熱間に);
・ 滑走路と駐車ポイントの間にいくつかのブレーキング操作を伴う、熱間陸上走行;
摩耗が、操作サイクルあたり、摩擦面あたり、で測定された(μm/面/サイクル)。
例2
手順は次の点を除いて、例1と同様であった:
・ 1850℃での炭素繊維プリフォームのHTT;および
・ 炭素前駆体として蒸発されたシクロヘキサンの分解による緻密化。

摩耗の著しい低減が、最終熱処理温度2000℃に比べて、1650℃で観察された。
Claims (7)
- 繊維補強材および炭素マトリックスから形成されるC/Cコンポジット材料に基づく摩擦部材の製造方法であり、その製造方法は、炭素繊維プリフォームを製造すること、炭素マトリックスでプリフォームを緻密化し、該炭素マトリックスの炭素は、その全てが、ガス状の前駆体に由来する熱分解炭素により形成されること、そして緻密化の後に、1400℃〜1800℃の範囲にある温度で、最終熱処理を実施することからなる摩擦部材の製造方法。
- 最終熱処理が、1550℃〜1700℃の範囲にある温度で実施される請求項1に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
- 緻密化の前に、熱処理が1600℃より高い温度で炭素繊維プリフォームについて実施される、請求項1または2に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
- 熱分解炭素マトリックスは、粗い薄片状タイプのもので形成される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
- 繊維プリフォームは、炭素前躯体繊維から製造される二次元繊維プライを重ね、プライが重なるように次第にニードリングすることによりプライを一緒に結合し、そして炭素前躯体繊維を炭素繊維に変えるために炭化することにより製造される、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
- プリフォームは、炭素繊維から製造される二次元繊維プライを重ねること、そしてプライが重なるように次第にニードリングすることによりプライを一緒に結合することにより製造される、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
- 新たにそれぞれ重ねられるプライのニードリングは、90ストローク/cm2未満のニードリング密度で実施される、請求項5または6に記載の摩擦部材の製造方法。
