・機械:立形マシニングセンタ、水溶性切削油剤(10倍希釈)使用
・加工深さ:12mm止まり
比較品Iのスパイラルタップは、突円形状部32の幅HwをH/5としたものである。このスパイラルタップにあっても、初期めねじ精度が止りゲージ0.5と良好であった。また、その後の耐久試験にあっては、耐久数7で切りくず形状に変化が生じて不安定となり折損した。このように突円形状部32の幅HwがH/10を超えると、折損しやすく切りくず形状に変化が生じて不安定となる。

Claims (3)
- 食付き部の先端から完全山部に向かうに従って不完全な形状から完全な形状となるねじ山が、軸方向に伸びる溝によって周方向に分断され、該分断されたねじ山の一端部に該溝に沿って切れ刃が形成されているねじ切削用タップにおいて、
少なくとも前記食付き部の山頂およびねじ山フランクに形成される前記切れ刃には、該切れ刃のすくい面から回転方向に突き出し、該切れ刃に沿って連なる突状部が形成されている
ことを特徴とするねじ切削用タップ。 - 前記突状部を軸直角な断面で切断したときの径方向の寸法で定義される該突状部の幅は、前記めねじの基準ねじ山高さの1/80乃至1/20の範囲内とされていることを特徴とする請求項1のねじ切削用タップ
- 食付き部の先端から完全山部に向かうに従って不完全な形状から完全な形状となるねじ山が、軸方向に伸びる溝によって周方向に分断され、該分断されたねじ山の一端部に該溝に沿って切れ刃が形成されているねじ切削用タップの製造方法において、
少なくとも前記食付き部の山頂およびねじ山フランクに形成される前記切れ刃には、該切れ刃のすくい面から回転方向に突き出し、該切れ刃に沿って連なる突状部が形成されており、
前記突状部は、研削砥石を用いた研磨加工によって前記ねじ山を形成する際に前記切れ刃に形成されるバリを、ガラスビーズを用いたブラスト処理を施すことで形成される
ことを特徴とするねじ切削用タップの製造方法。
