Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に排気ガス浄化装置を配置すると共に、予め設定された炭化水素供給条件下で、シリンダ内燃料噴射のポスト噴射又は排気通路内直接噴射により、前記排気ガス浄化装置の上流側に炭化水素を供給して、この炭化水素を前記排気ガス浄化装置の一部又は全部を構成する排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼させて、前記排気ガス浄化装置の浄化能力を回復させる制御、又は、排気ガスを浄化する制御を行うように構成された制御装置を備えた排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、
前記制御装置が、
この内燃機関の排気ガス温度に対して、前記排気通路内に供給された炭化水素が前記排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼可能となり、前記排気ガス浄化ユニットに吸着しなくなる活性領域と、前記排気通路内に供給された炭化水素が前記排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼しなくなり、前記排気ガス浄化ユニットに吸着する失火領域との境界となる排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の活性限界閾値ラインを予め設定して、該活性限界閾値ラインを前記排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量がゼロのときに予め設定した正の温度となるように形成すると共に、前記排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量が大きくなるにつれ、排気ガス温度も大きくなるように形成し、
前記炭化水素供給条件下において、制御時の排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量を求め、この排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の組み合わせが前記活性領域にあるか、又は、前記失火領域にあるかを判定し、前記活性領域にあると判定した場合には炭化水素の供給と判定して炭化水素の供給を行い、前記失火領域にあると判定した場合には炭化水素の供給の停止と判定して炭化水素の供給を停止する制御を行うように構成されたことを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。 - 前記制御装置が、
前記活性領域と前記失火領域の境界に幅を持たせて中間領域を設定し、この中間領域の前記活性領域側の境界を供給開始閾値ラインとし、この中間領域の前記失火領域側の境界を供給停止閾値ラインとすると共に、
制御時の排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の組み合わせが、前記失火領域側から前記活性領域側に移動する際には、前記供給開始閾値ラインを越えた時に炭化水素の供給と判定して炭化水素の供給を行い、
前記組み合わせが、前記活性領域側から前記失火領域側に移動する際には、前記供給停止閾値ラインを越えた時に炭化水素の供給の停止と判定して炭化水素の供給を停止する制御を行うように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化システム。 - 前記制御装置が、
制御時の排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の組み合わせによる判定で、炭化水素の供給と判定してから炭化水素の供給を開始するまでの間に、予め設定した開始猶予時間を経過させる制御を行うと共に、
炭化水素の供給の停止と判定してから炭化水素の供給を停止するまでの間に、予め設定した停止猶予時間を経過させる制御を行うように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の排気ガス浄化システム。 - 予め設定された炭化水素供給条件下で、内燃機関の排気通路に配置された排気ガス浄化装置の上流側に、シリンダ内燃料噴射のポスト噴射又は排気通路内直接噴射により炭化水素を供給して、この炭化水素を前記排気ガス浄化装置の一部又は全部を構成する排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼させて、前記排気ガス浄化装置の浄化能力を回復させるか、又は、前記排気ガス浄化装置で排気ガスを浄化するかする排気ガス浄化方法において、
この内燃機関の排気ガス温度に対して、前記排気通路内に供給された炭化水素が前記排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼可能となり、前記排気ガス浄化ユニットに吸着しなくなる活性領域と、前記排気通路内に供給された炭化水素が前記排気ガス浄化ユニットで燃焼しなくなり、前記排気ガス浄化ユニットに吸着する失火領域との境界となる排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の活性限界閾値ラインを予め設定して、該活性限界閾値ラインを前記排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量がゼロのときに予め設定した正の温度となるように形成すると共に、前記排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量が大きくなるにつれ、排気ガス温度も大きくなるように形成し、
前記炭化水素供給条件下において、制御時の排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量を求め、この排気ガス温度と排気ガス流量若しくは吸気流量の組み合わせが前記活性領域にあるか、又は、前記失火領域にあるかを判定し、前記活性領域にあると判定した場合には炭化水素の供給と判定して炭化水素の供給を行い、前記失火領域にあると判定した場合には炭化水素の供給の停止と判定して炭化水素の供給を停止することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化方法。
