Description
[発明の実施のための形態]
以下、実施例及び実験例を挙げてさらに説明するが、本発明がこれらの実施例及び実験例により制限されるものではない。
<防錆性ワッシャーの製造>
NaNO2を常温、常圧で均一な性状をなすまでよく交ぜた後、細かく粉砕させた。前記粉砕されたNaNO2を溶融されたポリプロピレン樹脂と混合させて気化性防錆剤(VCI)を得た。
Niをメッキした SPCE(冷間圧延鋼板)を用いて上端キャップ及び円筒状缶を製作し、円筒状缶に電極組立体を取り付けた後、図3のように防錆性ワッシャーをキャップアセンブリーの上端キャップを包みながらビーディング部上端に搭載し、 熱収縮性チュービングで缶の外面を包みながらキャップアセンブリーの上端部を密封して円筒状二次電池を製作した。
気化性防錆剤を用いず、ベース樹脂としてYUPO合成樹脂素材のワッシャーを用いたとの点を除いては、実施例 1と同一の方法で円筒状二次電池を製作した。

比較例 1と 2 及び実施例 1で製造されたワッシャーをそれぞれ 50個ずつ円筒状電池に組み立てて図5のようにビニールに密封した状態で恒温恒湿チャンバで約 65℃、 90% R.H 条件で 7日間保管した後、電池のクリンピング部の錆発生個数をよく見て比較した。

Claims (8)
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体を金属缶に内蔵している二次電池であり、
電極組立体が内蔵された金属缶の開放上端に取り付けられるキャップアセンブリー及び前記キャップアセンブリーの上端に搭載されたワッシャー(washer)を含み、
前記ワッシャーは、気化性防錆剤(VCI; Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor)とベース樹脂(base resin) を含み、
前記気化性防錆剤は、高分子樹脂、及びNaNO2又はNaNO3を含み、
前記ベース樹脂及び前記高分子樹脂は、互いに同一であるか相違し、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレンおよびポリテトラフルオロエチレンからなる群から選ばれる一つ、又はこれらのうち2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記NaNO2又はNaNO3は、前記高分子樹脂100重量%に対して3から30重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記気化性防錆剤は、前記ベース樹脂100重量%に対して1から30重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記金属缶の終端にガンマ三酸化鉄(γ-Fe2O3)が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ガンマ三酸化鉄が10Åから1000Å厚さで形成されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記金属缶は円筒状缶であり、前記キャップアセンブリーには電極組立体に連結された正極突出端子が中央に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から5の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記金属缶は角形缶であり、前記キャップアセンブリーには電極端子に連結された負極突出端子が中央に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から6の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ワッシャーの厚さは0.1mmから0.8mmであることを特徴とする請求項1から7の何れか1項に記載の二次電池。
