Claims (10)
- 下部基板、
上部基板、
前記下部基板の上に形成される薄膜トランジスタ、
前記薄膜トランジスタに接続される画素電極、
前記下部基板と前記上部基板との間に位置する電子インク層、
前記上部基板に形成される複数個の隔壁、
前記隔壁の上に形成される反射層、
前記隔壁の間に前記反射層の縁から離間されて形成される表面処理部、及び、
前記表面処理部の上に形成されるカラーフィルタを含む電気泳動表示装置。 - 前記電子インク層は、
複数個の球形のマイクロカプセル、及び
前記球形のマイクロカプセルを支持する支持層を含み、
前記マイクロカプセルは、前記マイクロカプセルの内部に配置される複数の白色帯電粒子または複数の黒色帯電粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。 - 前記マイクロカプセルは、前記マイクロカプセルの内部に配置される複数の白色帯電粒子及び複数の黒色帯電粒子を含み、
前記白色帯電粒子と前記黒色帯電粒子は互いに反対極性に帯電している、請求項2に記載の電気泳動表示装置。 - 前記電子インク層は、前記マイクロカプセルの上に形成される共通電極をさらに含む、請求項2又は3に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記隔壁の間の前記上部基板に形成される溝をさらに含む、請求項2〜4のいずれかに記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記カラーフィルタは前記溝に位置する、請求項5に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記隔壁の高さは20乃至25μmである、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記隔壁は、白色感光膜、あるいは黒色感光膜からなる、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記反射層及び前記カラーフィルタの上に形成される接着層をさらに含み、
前記接着層は液状接着剤からなり、前記上部基板、前記隔壁、前記反射層、及び前記カラーフィルタを含む上部表示板に接着されており、
前記接着層の厚さは20乃至25μmである、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の電気泳動表示装置。 - 下部基板、
上部基板、
前記下部基板の上に形成される薄膜トランジスタ、
前記薄膜トランジスタに接続される画素電極、
前記下部基板と前記上部基板との間に位置する電子インク層、
前記上部基板に形成される複数個の隔壁、
前記隔壁の上に形成される反射層、
前記隔壁の間に形成される表面処理部、及び、
前記表面処理部の上に形成されるカラーフィルタを含む電気泳動表示装置の製造方法であって、
上部基板に金属層を形成してパターンニングして前記隔壁に対応して複数個の金属層パターンを形成し、各金属層パターンの上に第1感光膜を形成するステップと、
各第1感光膜をマスクとして前記上部基板をエッチングし、各第1感光膜の下部に第1隔壁を形成し、各第1隔壁間に溝を形成するステップと、
各溝の内部に表面処理を行って前記表面処理部を形成するステップと、
各第1隔壁上の金属層パターン及び前記第1感光膜を除去した後、前記表面処理部の上に第2感光膜を形成するステップと、
前記第2感光膜をマスクとして前記上部基板の全面をエッチングし、前記隔壁を形成し、前記上部基板の全面に第1反射層を形成するステップと、
前記第2感光膜及び前記第2感光膜上の前記第1反射層をリフトオフ工程によって除去することで前記反射層を形成した後、前記表面処理部の上に前記カラーフィルタを形成するステップと、
前記カラーフィルタ及び前記反射層上に接着層を形成するステップと、
を含む電気泳動表示装置の製造方法。
