Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に備えられて窒素酸化物を吸蔵する触媒部(5)と、
前記触媒部の下流に備えられて空燃比を検出する検出手段(50)と、
前記触媒部を通過する排気を燃料過剰にして前記触媒部に吸蔵された窒素酸化物を還元するように制御する制御手段(6)と、
その制御手段による窒素酸化物の還元の実行中に、前記触媒部に吸着した炭化水素の量を算出する算出手段(6、S40)と、
前記制御手段によるNOxの還元制御の実行中に、前記検出手段による空燃比の検出値が所定値以下となる前に、前記算出手段により算出された炭化水素の吸着量が第1の閾値以上となった場合に、前記制御手段によるNOxの還元制御を中断する中断手段(6、S60)と、
を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記中断手段による窒素酸化物の還元の中断中に、前記触媒部に吸着した炭化水素の量を算出する副算出手段(6、S70)と、
前記中断手段によるNOxの還元制御の中断中に、前記副算出手段により算出された炭化水素の吸着量が第2の閾値未満となり、前記触媒部の温度が所定値未満となった場合に、前記制御手段によるNOxの還元制御を再開する再開手段(6、S90)と、
を備えた請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記内燃機関の運転中に前記第1の閾値を調節する調節手段(6、S110)を備えた請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記調節手段は、前記触媒部における窒素酸化物の吸蔵量が多いほど前記第1の閾値を小さい数値に調節する請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記調節手段は、
前記第1の閾値を上限値と下限値との間の範囲内で調節する第1副調節手段(6、S110)と、
前記中断手段による中断回数が多いほど、前記上限値と下限値とのうちの少なくとも一方を大きい数値に調節する第2副調節手段(6、S110)と、
を備えた請求項3又は4に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記算出手段は、前記触媒部の上流の空燃比、排気流量、排気中の炭化水素濃度、前記触媒部の温度、前記触媒部の劣化度合いのうちの少なくとも1つを用いて、炭化水素の吸着量を算出する請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記副算出手段は、排気流量、排気中の酸素濃度、前記触媒部の温度、前記触媒部の劣化度合いのうちの少なくとも1つを用いて、炭化水素の吸着量を算出する請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
