Description
本出願は、2010年9月22日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/385,403号(PRESSURIZED VAPORIZER)の利益を主張し、その全体を本願明細書に援用する。
Claims (29)
- 治療用気化器において、
内部空洞を形成するように構成された第1のハウジング部分および第2のハウジング部分を含むハウジングであって、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が、閉鎖位置と開放位置との間でそれぞれ互いに対して可動式に係合および係合解除するように構成され、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が前記閉鎖位置にあるときに、前記内部空洞の少なくとも一部分が囲まれる、ハウジングと;
治療物質を少なくとも部分的に気化するように構成されたヒータと;
ユーザインターフェースおよび制御システムであって、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が閉鎖位置にあるときに、前記内部空洞の一部分内に実質的に隠されるか、または囲まれるユーザインターフェースおよび制御システムと;
前記内部空洞の一部分内に少なくとも部分的に位置決めされた少なくとも1つの付属品収容要素であって、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が前記閉鎖位置にあるときに、少なくとも1つの付属品を前記内部空洞内に収容しかつ少なくとも部分的に隠すように構成されている、付属品収容要素と
を含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。 - 請求項1に記載の治療用気化器において、前記付属品収容要素が、吸入チューブを収容するように構成された吸入チューブ収容要素、治療物質を保持するように構成されたボウルと取り外し可能に係合するように構成されたボウル受け器、および吸入袋を収容するように構成された吸入袋収容要素の少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項2に記載の治療用気化器において、前記吸入チューブ収容要素が、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方の内周囲を少なくとも部分的に取り囲んで延在する溝を含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項1に記載の治療用気化器において、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方に取り付けられた中間段をさらに含み、前記中間段が、前記内部空洞の部分を第1の空洞セクションおよび第2の空洞セクションに分割するように構成され、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が前記開放位置にあるときに、前記第1の空洞セクションは視界から実質的に隠されていることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項4に記載の治療用気化器において、前記付属品収容要素が、吸入チューブを収容するように構成された溝を含み、前記溝が、前記中間段の一部分と前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方との間に延在することを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項1に記載の治療用気化器において、前記ヒータを通ってガスを流すように構成されたガスフロー装置をさらに含み、前記ユーザインターフェースが、前記制御システムとインターフェースをとるように構成されており、前記ユーザインターフェースおよび前記制御システムが、前記ヒータおよび前記ガスフロー装置の少なくとも一方を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 治療用気化器において、
ハウジングと;
前記ハウジング内に含まれたガスフロー装置と;
前記ハウジング内に含まれたヒータであって、チャンバと、前記ガスフロー装置から流出して前記チャンバを通るガスを選択的に加熱するように構成された加熱素子とを含むヒータと;
ボウルであって:
治療物質支持体を含むボウル内部空洞と;
前記ボウル内部空洞と前記チャンバとの間の流体連通をもたらす入口と、
前記ボウル内部空洞からの流体連通をもたらす出口と
を含むボウルと;
前記ヒータと前記ボウルとの間に配置された中間導管であって、前記ヒータと前記ボウルとの間の流体連通をもたらすように構成された中間導管と;
前記ヒータの一部分に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第1の温度を検出するように構成された第1の温度センサと;
前記ヒータの下流に形成された流体通路に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第2の温度を検出するように構成された第2の温度センサと;
前記第1および前記第2の温度センサおよび前記加熱素子に関連付けられ、前記ボウル空洞を流れたガスの前記温度を制御する温度コントローラと
を含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。 - 請求項7に記載の治療用気化器において、前記温度コントローラが、前記第1および第2の温度センサの少なくとも一方から受信した出力に応答して、前記加熱素子の動作を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項8に記載の治療用気化器において、前記温度コントローラが、前記第1および前記第2の温度センサの双方から受信した出力に応答して前記加熱素子の動作を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項7に記載の治療用気化器において、前記ハウジングが、内部空洞を形成するように構成された第1のハウジング部分および第2のハウジング部分であって、閉鎖位置と開放位置との間で互いに対して可動式に係合および係合解除するように構成されている、第1のハウジング部分および第2のハウジング部分を含み;および前記内部空洞の一部分内に少なくとも部分的に位置決めされた少なくとも1つの付属品収容要素であって、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が前記閉鎖位置にあるときに、少なくとも1つの付属品を前記内部空洞内に収容しかつ少なくとも部分的に隠すように構成されている付属品収容要素をさらに含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項7に記載の治療用気化器において、前記加熱素子がハロゲン球を含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 気化器の動作を制御する方法において、
治療用気化器を提供するステップであって、前記治療用気化器が:
内部体積部を形成するハウジングと;
少なくとも部分的に前記ハウジング内に位置決めされたガスフロー装置、ヒータ、および治療物質支持体と
を含むステップと;
治療用気化ガスを形成するステップであって:
ガスを、前記ヒータを通して流して、加熱ガスを形成することと;
前記加熱ガスを、前記治療物質支持体に支持される治療物質を通してまたはそれに近接して流すことと
によって治療用気化ガスを形成するステップと;
前記治療物質支持体に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第1の温度を感知するステップと;
前記感知に応答して、前記ガスフロー装置および前記ヒータの1つ以上の動作を制御するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記ガスを、前記ヒータを通して流して、加熱ガスを形成するステップが、前記ガスを、前記ガスフロー装置を用いて流すことを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記ハウジングが、閉鎖位置と開放位置との間で互いに対して可動式に係合および係合解除するように構成されている第1のハウジング部分および第2のハウジング部分を含み、
当該方法が、前記治療用気化器が開放位置にあるときに、前記内部体積部に少なくとも1つの付属品を受け入れるステップをさらに含み、
前記治療用気化器が閉鎖位置にあるときに、ボウル、吸入チューブ、および吸入袋の少なくとも1つが隠されることを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項12に記載の方法において、
前記ヒータの一部分に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第2の温度を感知するステップと;
前記第1の温度の感知および前記第2の温度の感知に応答して、前記ガスフロー装置および前記ヒータの少なくとも一方の動作を制御するステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項15に記載の方法において、前記第1の温度の感知および前記第2の温度の感知が実質的に同時に行われることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項15に記載の方法において、前記第1の温度の感知、前記第2の温度の感知中、および前記ヒータの動作の制御中、前記ガスフロー装置を作動させるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項15に記載の方法において、前記ヒータの動作を制御するステップが、温度コントローラからのパルス幅変調信号によって前記ヒータを作動および動作停止させることを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項2に記載の治療用気化器において、前記吸入チューブ、前記ボウル、および前記吸入袋の少なくとも1つをさらに含み、前記吸入チューブ、前記ボウル、および前記吸入袋の前記少なくとも1つが、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が前記閉鎖位置にあるときに、視界から完全に隠されることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 請求項1に記載の治療用気化器において、
治療物質を収容するボウル空洞を備えて構成されたボウルと;
前記ヒータの一部分に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第1の温度を検出するように構成された第1の温度センサと;
前記ヒータの下流に形成された流体通路に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第2の温度を検出するように構成された第2の温度センサと;
前記ボウル空洞から流出したガスの温度を制御するために、前記第1および前記第2の温度センサおよび前記ヒータに関連付けられた温度コントローラと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、治療用気化器。 - 請求項11に記載の治療用気化器において、前記温度コントローラが、パルス幅変調信号によって前記ハロゲン球を作動および動作停止させることによって、前記ハロゲン球の動作を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする、治療用気化器。
- 気化器の動作を制御する方法において、
治療用気化器を提供するステップであって、前記治療用気化器が:
内部空洞を形成するように構成された第1のハウジング部分および第2のハウジング部分を含むハウジングであって、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分が、閉鎖位置と開放位置との間でそれぞれ互いに対して可動式に係合および係合解除するように構成されている、ハウジングと;
前記内部空洞の一部分内に少なくとも部分的に位置決めされた少なくとも1つの付属品収容要素と
を含む、ステップと;
前記治療用気化器が開放位置にあるときに、前記付属品収容要素に少なくとも1つの付属品を受け入れるステップとを含み、
前記治療用気化器が閉鎖位置にあるときに、少なくとも1つの付属品が前記内部空洞内に隠されることを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項22に記載の方法において、受け入れるステップが、吸入チューブを吸入チューブ収容要素に受け入れること、治療物質を保持するように構成されたボウルをボウル受け器に受け入れること、および吸入袋を吸入袋収容要素に受け入れることのうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項23に記載の方法において、前記吸入チューブを受け入れることが、前記吸入チューブを、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方の内周囲を少なくとも部分的に取り囲んで延在する溝に受け入れることを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項22に記載の方法において、前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方に取り付けられた中間段を提供するステップをさらに含み、前記中間段が、前記内部空洞の部分を第1の空洞セクションおよび第2の空洞セクションに分割するように構成されており、前記治療用気化器が開放位置にあるときに、前記第1の空洞セクションが実質的に視界から隠されることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項25に記載の方法において、前記吸入チューブを受け入れることが、前記吸入チューブを、前記中間段の一部分と前記第1および第2のハウジング部分の少なくとも一方との間に延在する溝に受け入れることを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項22に記載の方法において、ユーザインターフェースを提供して前記気化器を制御するステップをさらに含み、前記治療用気化器が閉鎖位置にあるときに、前記ユーザインターフェースが前記内部空洞内に少なくとも部分的に囲まれかつ前記ユーザインターフェースが視界から隠されることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項22に記載の方法において、前記治療用気化器を提供するステップが、治療物質を少なくとも部分的に気化するように構成されたヒータ、前記ヒータの一部分に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第1の温度を検出するように構成された第1の温度センサ、前記ヒータの下流に形成された流体通路に近接した位置でのまたはその内部での第2の温度を検出するように構成された第2の温度センサを提供することをさらに含み;そして
前記第1および前記第2の温度センサに関連付けられた温度コントローラによって、前記治療用気化器のボウル空洞を流れたガスの温度を制御することをさらに含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項28に記載の方法において、制御することが、パルス幅変調信号によって前記ヒータのハロゲン球加熱素子を制御することを含むことを特徴とする、方法。
