Description

VI向上ポリマーとは、粘度範囲が温度によって変化するのを抑える化合物であり、すなわち、高温になっても、部品を摩擦から保護するための油膜を維持することができ、かつ、低温時には、粘度が過度に上昇するのを防ぐことができる。

本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物の含窒素有機系の摩擦調整剤は、脂肪アミン;および/または脂肪アミンと(ジ)カルボン酸との縮合で得られたアミド型もしくはイミド型脂肪アミン;および/またはこれらのアルコキシ化物である。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物中に使用され得る脂肪アミンは、1つ以上の脂肪鎖を有する、第一級モノアミン類、第二級モノアミン類、第三級モノアミン類、またはポリアミンである。脂肪鎖とは、炭素数が少なくとも7の、飽和または不飽和で、かつ、分岐状であってもよい、非環式の脂肪族炭化水素鎖のことを指す。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物に配合される含窒素有機系の摩擦調整剤(c)として、前述の脂肪アミンに由来する、モノまたはポリアルコキシ化された脂肪アミン、例えば、モノまたはポリエトキシ化された脂肪アミンを使用してもよい。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物中の含窒素有機系の摩擦調整剤(c)は、前述の脂肪アミンと、カルボン酸との縮合で得られた、アミドおよび/またはイミドであってもよい。このようなアミドおよび/またはイミドとして、例えば、オレイルアミド類、特に、第一級オレイルアミド類が挙げられる。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、任意で、少なくとも1種の有機モリブデン化合物を摩擦調整剤として含んでいてもよい。そのような化合物は、当該技術分野において周知である。そのような化合物の例として、モリブデンに加えて硫黄および/またはリンを有する化合物、例えば、モリブデンジチオホスフェート類、モリブデンジチオカルバメート類、モリブデンジチオホスフィネート類、モリブデンキサンテート類、モリブデンチオキサンテート類などが挙げられる。本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物中に使用するのに適した有機モリブデン化合物は、例えば、特許文献2の段落[0036]〜[0062]に記載されている。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、1種以上の基油を含む。このような基油の含有量は、一般的には潤滑剤組成物の重量に対して少なくとも60%、典型的には少なくとも65%、場合によっては90%まで、またはそれ以上である。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、さらに、その時々の用途に適した添加剤であれば、あらゆる種類の添加剤を含んでいてもよい。そのような添加剤は、ACEA(欧州自動車工業会)、JASO(日本自動車技術会)などが規定するディーゼル用潤滑剤に要求される性能レベルを潤滑剤組成物が確実に獲得するように、別々に添加されてもよいし、またはパッケージ添加剤の形態で添加されてもよい。そのような添加剤の例を以下に列挙するが、あくまでも数例のみであり、全種類を網羅してはいない:
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、分散剤を、一般的には5〜8重量%含んでいてもよい。分散剤の例として、コハク酸イミド類、PIB(ポリイソブテン)コハク酸イミド類、マンニッヒ塩基などが挙げられる。分散剤は、エンジン用のオイルの使用中に形成される酸化副産物で構成される不溶性の固体不純物を、確実に懸濁状態に維持して除去する。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、酸化防止剤を、一般的には0.5〜2重量%含んでいてもよい。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、耐摩耗剤を、一般的には1〜2重量%含んでいてもよい。耐摩耗剤は、摩擦面に吸着して保護膜を形成することにより、その摩擦面を保護する。広く使用されている耐摩耗剤として、ジチオリン酸亜鉛(DTPZn)類が挙げられる。またその他の種類の耐摩耗剤として、様々な含リン化合物、含硫黄化合物、含窒素化合物、含塩素化合物、および含ホウ素化合物が挙げられる。
本発明にかかる潤滑剤組成物は、清浄剤を、一般的には2〜4重量%含んでいてもよい。
[オイルの調製]
ACEAのC2規格またはJASOのDL1規格を満たす、ディーゼルエンジン車両用のグレード0W30の複数のオイルを、酸化防止剤、防錆剤、分散剤、清浄剤、耐摩耗剤、曇り点降下剤などを含む、ディーゼルエンジン用のオイルのパッケージ添加剤を使用して調製した。
エンジンテストにより、上記の各オイルでエンジンを潤滑したディーゼルエンジン車両の燃費を評価する。
コモンレール噴射型の2ADエンジン、5th injector、再生式トラップ、およびDPNR(ディーゼルPM,Nox同時低減)後処理システムを備えた、Toyota Corolla Verso D4D Clean Power車を、B7環境に置き、NEDC規格走行サイクル(新欧州ドライビングサイクル)、いわゆるMVEG(自動車排出グループ)サイクルに適用した。このサイクルは、欧州の道路での走行条件を再現性よくシミュレートしたものであり、車両の燃費および汚染物質排出を測定する目的で広く利用されている。
上記の車両を、E4規格に準拠してダブルローラダイナモメータ上に配置する。これにより、空力抵抗および車両質量による路上走行抵抗を再現性よくシミュレートすることができる。
燃費の絶対値(l/100km)を、全サイクルおよび各フェーズごとに測定する。さらに、分析対象のオイルサンプルの燃費の、そのオイルサンプルの直前に測定した参照オイルの燃費との差(%)も、同じく全サイクルおよび各フェーズごとに算出する。以下の表2に、それらの結果をまとめる。
Claims (13)
- (a)1種以上の基油と、
(b)ポリアルキル(メタ)アクリレート系の主鎖と炭素数が少なくとも50の炭化水素側鎖とで形成された、少なくとも1種の櫛型ポリマーと、
(c)脂肪アミン;脂肪アミンとカルボン酸との縮合で得られた脂肪アミドまたは脂肪イミド;これらのアルコキシ化物;およびこれらの混合物;から選択される、少なくとも1種の含窒素有機系の摩擦調整剤と、
を含み、
前記櫛型ポリマー(b)が、
・下記の式(II)で表されるマクロモノマーと下記の式(III)で表される(メタ)アクリル系のモノマーとの共重合で得られたものであるか、または
・下記の式(IV)で表されるマクロモノマーと下記の式(III)で表される(メタ)アクリル系のモノマーとの共重合で得られたものである、潤滑剤組成物。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑剤組成物において、さらに、少なくとも1種の有機モリブデン系の有機金属摩擦調整剤(d)を含む、潤滑剤組成物。
- 請求項6に記載の潤滑剤組成物において、有機金属摩擦調整剤(d)が、モリブデンジチオカルバメート類、モリブデンジチオホスフェート類、モリブデンジチオホスフィネート類、モリブデンキサンテート類、およびモリブデンチオキサンテート類から選択されたものである、潤滑剤組成物。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑剤組成物において、
1種以上の基油(a)を65〜90重量%と、
少なくとも1種の櫛型ポリマー(b)を2〜15重量%と、
少なくとも1種の含窒素有機系の摩擦調整剤(c)を0.01〜2重量%と、
を含む、潤滑剤組成物。 - 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑剤組成物において、溶剤脱ろうもしくは触媒脱ろうに由来するn−パラフィン原料の水素化異性化で得られた少なくとも1種のイソパラフィン系の鉱物基油(a)、またはフィッシャートロプシュワックスで構成されるn−パラフィン原料の水素化異性化で得られた少なくとも1種のイソパラフィン系の合成基油(a)を含む、潤滑剤組成物。
- 請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑剤組成物において、当該潤滑剤組成物が、SAEJ300分類でグレード0W20または0W30である、潤滑剤組成物。
- 請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑剤組成物を使用して、軽量車両の、4ストロークガソリンエンジンまたは4ストロークディーゼルエンジンを潤滑する潤滑方法。
- 請求項12に記載の使用において、前記エンジンがディーゼルエンジンである、方法。
