Description
Claims (6)
- 船舶の推進動力を得るための主推進エンジンと、
発電のための発電エンジンと、
前記発電エンジンで発電した電気を利用し動力を発生するモーターと、
船舶を推進するための推進体と、
前記主推進エンジンと前記推進体を連結する主クラッチと、
ギアボックスを通して前記推進体と前記モーターを連結する副クラッチと、を含み、
前記主推進エンジン及び前記モーターは選択的に前記推進体に動力連結され船舶の推進動力が得られ、
前記主推進エンジンはME−GIエンジンであり、前記ME−GIエンジンは、一定出力以上では石油と燃料ガスとの両方を燃料として使用し、一定出力以下では石油のみを燃料として使用するエンジンであるから、前記船舶が、前記主推進エンジンの前記一定出力以下で運航する時は、石油による汚染物質の排出を防止するために前記主推進エンジンは停止し、前記主クラッチは前記推進体と動力連結が切れ、前記副クラッチは前記ギアボックスを通して前記推進体と動力連結され、前記発電エンジンで発電した電気が前記モーター、前記ギアボックス及び前記副クラッチを経て前記推進体に伝達され船舶の推進動力が得られ、
前記主推進エンジンを高圧ガス噴射エンジンとすると共に、前記発電エンジンをDFエンジン、ガスエンジン及びガスタービンのいずれか一つとして、
前記船舶が、前記主推進エンジンの前記一定出力以下で運航する時に、燃料ガスを使用して前記発電エンジンを駆動して前記船舶を推進させることで、石油による汚染物質の排 出を防止することができることを特徴とする船舶。 - 液化燃料ガスを貯蔵するための液化燃料ガス燃料タンクを更に含み、
前記液化燃料ガス燃料タンクに貯蔵した液化燃料ガスが蒸発して発生する蒸発ガスは、前記主推進エンジン又は前記発電エンジンで燃料ガスとして使用し処理されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の船舶。 - 前記一定出力以下とは、前記主推進エンジンの最大出力の40%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の船舶。
- 前記主推進エンジンに供給する燃料ガスの圧力は150ないし600バール(bar)であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の船舶。
- 前記モーターはモーター兼用発電機であり、前記主推進エンジンを通して伝達される動力中の一部は前記ギアボックス及び前記副クラッチを経て前記モーター兼用発電機に伝達され発電することを特徴とする請求項1記載の船舶。
- 前記モーター兼用発電機により発電した電気は、配電盤を通して船舶の各種電気使用先に供給することを特徴とする請求項5記載の船舶。
