Description
通信経路114及びパック通信バス118は、シリアル、CAN、LIN、SPI、12C又は共用された物理的な媒体上でアドレス指定プロトコルを実施する技術上周知の他の通信技術の何れであってもよい。しかしながら、各モジュール102に関連づけられる電圧はBMSでの基準に比べて高いので、通信経路114(及び、実施形態によってはパック通信バス118。)は、通信経路114と各モジュール102との間の技術上周知の絶縁用デバイス124(例えば、光学的な、磁気的な又はRFの。)を用いて、絶縁される。図4は、EDDモジュール102と通信経路114との通信接続の一実施形態を示す。図5は、通信経路114とモジュールモニタ110との間に絶縁用デバイス124を有する例示的な実施形態を示す。
上述したように、BMS120は、初期設定のときに各モジュールモニタ110にアドレスを提供する。アドレスの提供には他の手順が用いられてもよいが、以下、例示的な一実施形態において用いられる手順について説明する。
動作の間、BMS120は、EDDモジュール102の電圧の全てを全く同時に取得することができる。BMS120はこれを、モジュール102の全てによって認識されかつ受け入れられる要求であって、セル電圧に対するグローバルな要求を送信することによって達成する。各モジュール102のモジュールモニタ110は、BMS120からスナップショットコマンドを受信したときに、当該モジュールの構成要素のセルに関連づけられる電圧の「スナップショット」(即ち、サンプル。)を取得する。全てのモジュールモニタ110は、スナップショットコマンドを受信すると、実質的に同時にそのセルのスナップショットをとる。
Claims (10)
- 複数のストリングと、複数のストリングマネージャデバイスと、システムコントローラとを備えたエネルギー伝送システムであって、
上記複数のストリングのうちの各ストリングは、(i)電気的に直列接続された2つ以上のエネルギー伝送モジュールと、(ii)上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールにアクセス可能なストリング通信経路とを備え、
上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールは、電流を貯えて伝送するための1つ又は複数のエネルギー伝送デバイスと、当該エネルギー伝送モジュールにおける上記各エネルギー伝送デバイスを監視し制御するためのモジュールモニタとを含み、
上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールの上記モジュールモニタは、当該モジュールモニタを含むエネルギー伝送モジュールに固有の情報、及び当該モジュールモニタを含むエネルギー伝送モジュールを管理するための情報を、上記ストリング通信経路を介して通信するように動作可能であり、
上記複数のストリングと、上記複数のストリングマネージャデバイスとは、一対一に対応し、
上記各ストリングマネージャデバイスは、対応するストリングのストリング通信経路を介して、当該ストリングにおける複数の上記モジュールモニタと通信し、
上記各ストリングマネージャデバイスは、特定のモジュールモニタに割り当てられたアドレスを含むメッセージを上記ストリング通信経路に沿った上記複数のモジュールモニタに送信することにより、上記ストリングマネージャデバイスが送信した上記メッセージに応答する上記特定のモジュールモニタからの応答を受けるように、上記複数のモジュールモニタと独立して通信するように構成され、
上記システムコントローラは、システム通信経路を介して上記各ストリングマネージャデバイスと通信するエネルギー伝送システム。 - 上記エネルギー伝送システムは、上記各エネルギー伝送モジュール内に、上記1つ又は複数のエネルギー伝送デバイスに一対一に対応する1つ又は複数のデバイスモニタであって、上記各エネルギー伝送デバイスを監視し制御するための1つ又は複数のデバイスモニタをさらに含み、
上記各デバイスモニタは、上記モジュールモニタが上記デバイスモニタ及び上記エネルギー伝送デバイスを監視し、管理しかつ制御するように、上記モジュールモニタと通信する請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。 - 上記エネルギー伝送モジュールに固有の情報は、上記エネルギー伝送モジュールの電気的な特性を含む請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記エネルギー伝送モジュールを管理するための情報は、上記エネルギー伝送モジュールを制御するためのコマンドを含む請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記エネルギー伝送モジュールを管理するための情報は、上記エネルギー伝送システム内に複数の上記エネルギー伝送モジュールからなる所定の配列を構成するための命令を含む請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記エネルギー伝送モジュールに固有の情報は、上記エネルギー伝送モジュールの温度を含む請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記各エネルギー伝送モジュール及び上記ストリング通信経路の間に位置し、異常なエネルギー伝送モジュールを上記ストリング通信経路から絶縁するための絶縁用スイッチをさらに含む請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記ストリング通信経路及び上記システム通信経路は、上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールと通信する有線通信バスであり、
上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールは、上記有線通信バス上の上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールを識別するための独立のアドレスを用いて構成された請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。 - 上記システムコントローラは、上記複数のストリングマネージャデバイスのうちの1つを包含し、これにより、上記システムコントローラは、上記包含されたストリングマネージャデバイスに対応するストリングの上記各エネルギー伝送モジュールに命令を送るように構成された請求項1記載のエネルギー伝送システム。
- 上記各ストリングは、上記ストリングにおけるエネルギー伝送モジュールの個数を増加又は減少可能であるように構成され、
