Description
図1に示されている実施形態では、ステント100は、一連の略正弦波形状部に折り曲げ又は加工されたワイヤ102から形成され、この略正弦波形状部は、折り曲げセグメント即ちクラウン108により結合された略直線セグメント即ちストラット106を含み螺旋状に巻かれて管にされている。本明細書で使用される「ワイヤ」という用語は、細長い要素もしくは細長いフィラメント、または細長い要素群もしくは細長いフィラメント群を意味し、特定の断面形状または物質に限定されない。図1に示されている実施形態では、長手方向に隣接している正弦波部の選択されたクラウン108を、例えば接合点124で結合させるのがよい。本発明は、図1に示されるパターンに限定されない。ステント100は、ステントとしての使用に好適な任意の形状に形成される。例えば、ステント100は、Gianturcoに付与された米国特許第4,800,882号、Wiktorに付与された米国特許第4,886,062号、Wiktorに付与された米国特許第5,133,732号、Wiktorに付与された米国特許第5,782,903号、Boyleに付与された米国特許第6,136,023号、およびPinchukに付与された米国特許第5,019,090号に開示されたパターンに形成されても良いが、これらに限定されない。上記の各特許文献は、その全体を、この言及により本明細書に援用する。さらに、1本のワイヤでステントパターンを形成することに代えて、複数のワイヤで二次元的な波形に形成し、別個の円筒状エレメントを形成してもよい。次に、この円筒状エレメントを共通の長手方向軸線に沿って整列させ結合し、ステントを形成しもよい。
Claims (16)
- ステント製造方法であって、
外側部材と、該外側部材のルーメン内に配置された砂時計型コア部材とを有する複合部材を利用するステップと、
前記複合部材をステントパターンに形作るステップと、
前記外側部材を貫通する開口部を形成するステップと、
前記複合部材を前記パターンに形作るステップの後、前記外側部材を損傷することなくコア部材を外側部材から取り除くよう複合部材を処理し、それにより、砂時計型ルーメンを有する外側部材を残すステップと、
前記砂時計型ルーメンが、外側部材の部分により第1ルーメンと第2ルーメンに分離されるよう外側部材をかしめるステップと、を備え、
前記複合部材の処理ステップが、前記複合部材を、外側部材と反応しないがコア部材とは反応して前記コア部材を取り除くエッチング剤に曝すステップを含み、
前記外側部材がMP35Nから作成され、前記コア部材がタンタル、タングステン、モリブデン、ニオブ、レニウム、炭素、ゲルマニウム、およびシリコンの一つから作成され、エッチング剤が二ふっ化キセノンである、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - ステント形成方法であって、
外側部材と、外側部材のルーメン内に配置された内側部材と、前記外側部材と前記内側部材との間に配置する中間部材とを有する複合部材を利用して、前記複合部材をステントパターンに形作るステップと、
前記外側部材を貫通して前記中間部材まで開口部を形成するステップと、
前記複合部材を前記ステントパターンに形作ったステップの後に、前記外側部材または内側部材を損傷することなく前記中間部材を前記外側部材から取り除き、よって、両者の間に配置されるキャビティを有する前記外側部材と前記内側部材を残すステップと、
前記外側部材を部分的にかしめて前記内側部材と接触させ、よって、前記外側部材を変形させ、前記内側部材により分割された第1ルーメンおよび第2ルーメンを形成し、前記外側部材の一部分を前記内側部材に接触させるステップと、備え、
前記複合部材を処理するステップが、前記複合部材を外側部材および内側部材とは反応しないが中間部材とは反応して前記中間部材を取り除くエッチング剤に曝すステップを含み、
前記外側部材と内側部材がMP35Nから作成され、前記中間部材が、タンタル、タングステン、モリブデン、ニオブ、レニウム、炭素、ゲルマニウム、およびシリコンの一つから作成され、エッチング剤が二ふっ化キセノンである、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記コア部材を取り除いた後に、第1の生物学的または薬学的活性物質で第1ルーメンを満たし、第2の生物学的または薬学的活性物質で第2ルーメンを満たすステップをさらに備えている、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記中間部材を取り除いた後に、第1の生物学的または薬学的活性物質で第1ルーメンを満たし、第2の生物学的または薬学的活性物質で第2のルーメンを満たすステップを備えている、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記第1および第2生物学的または薬学的活性物質が同じである、
請求項3または4に記載の方法。 - 前記第1および第2生物学的または薬学的活性物質が異なる、
請求項3または4に記載の方法。 - 前記第1および第2生物学的または薬学的活性物質が、抗腫瘍剤、抗有糸分裂剤、抗炎症、抗血小板剤、抗凝固剤、抗フィブリン、アンチトロンビン、抗増殖剤、抗生物質、抗酸化剤、および抗アレルギー物質ならびにそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、
請求項3または4に記載の方法。 - 前記エッチング剤は、コア部材を分解する液体化学物質である、
