Description
また、溶接によりバスバーを外部端子に接続する二次電池では、バスバーをボルト、ナットにより外部端子に接続することができなかった。
本発明に係る組電池は、上記単電池を複数備え、複数の単電池同士がバスバーにより電気的に接続された組電池であって、バスバーは、ボルト、ナットにより、あるいは、溶接
により外部端子に接続されている。
(1)外部端子104,105のそれぞれには、バスバー123,124がボルト131、ナット132によりねじ締結される締結部145,155と、締結部145,155に隣接して配置され、バスバー123,124が溶接される溶接部141,151とが設けられている。これにより、ねじ締結による接続方法あるいは溶接による接続方法のいずれでもバスバー123,124と外部端子104,105とを接続可能な単電池100およびこの単電池100を複数備えた組電池を提供することができる。
(1)上記実施の形態では、バスバー123,124をボルト131,ナット132によるねじ締結により、あるいは、バスバー223,224を溶接により正負極外部端子104,105に取り付ける例(図3および図10参照)について説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されない。バスバーの一端をボルト131,ナット132によるねじ締結により正負極外部端子104,105のいずれか一方に接続し、バスバー124の他端を溶接により正負極外部端子104,105のいずれか他方に接続するようにしてもよい。
Claims (5)
- 電極を有する発電要素と、
前記発電要素を収容する電池缶および前記電池缶の開口を封止する電池蓋を有する電池容器と、
前記電池蓋に配置された外部端子と、
前記発電要素の電極と前記外部端子とを接続する集電体とを備え、
前記外部端子は、前記電池容器の外部でバスバーと電気的に接続される当接部と、前記電池容器の内部で前記集電体と接続される接続部とが一体に形成されてなり、
前記当接部は、前記接続部と対向して前記電池容器の外部に設けられ、前記バスバーを溶接可能な平面部と、前記平面部に隣接して挿通孔を有する締結部とを有し、
前記バスバーを前記締結部に締結可能なボルトを備え、
前記電池蓋には、前記ボルトの頭部が絶縁部材を介して嵌合される嵌合凹部が設けられ、
前記締結部と前記電池蓋との間には、前記嵌合凹部と前記締結部とにより、前記ボルトの頭部を収容する空間が画成され、
前記締結部の挿通孔には、前記ボルトの軸部が挿通され、
前記接続部は、前記平面部から前記電池容器の内側に向かって突出し、前記電池蓋を貫通するように設けられていることを特徴とする単電池。 - 請求項1に記載の単電池において、
前記接続部は、円筒状に形成され、先端がかしめられることで前記集電体に接続され、
前記接続部の中心軸上における前記平面部には、凹部が設けられていることを特徴とする単電池。 - 請求項1または2に記載の単電池を複数備え、
前記複数の単電池同士がバスバーにより電気的に接続された組電池であって、
前記バスバーは、溶接により前記平面部に接続されていることを特徴とする組電池。 - 請求項1または2に記載の単電池を複数備え、
前記複数の単電池同士がバスバーにより電気的に接続された組電池であって、
前記バスバーは、前記ボルトの軸部にナットを装着することにより、前記締結部に接続されていることを特徴とする組電池。 - 請求項1または2に記載の単電池を複数備え、
前記複数の単電池同士がバスバーにより電気的に接続された組電池であって、
前記組電池を構成する各単電池は、少なくとも正極および負極のいずれか一方の側において、前記ボルトを有し、
前記バスバーの一端は、前記ボルトの軸部にナットを装着することにより前記正極および負極のいずれか一方の締結部に接続され、前記バスバーの他端は、溶接により前記正極および負極のいずれか他方の平面部に接続されていることを特徴とする組電池。
